Beast Keeper is a hand-drawn idle management game where you run a small farm, explore the nearby town, and get to know the locals.

Completely broken on ultrawide - as usual with Unity game devs, They never take into account aspect ratios and scaling.

Couldnt interact with the UI at all - and the game launched in fullscreen, so cant really do shit about it.

Hello (at)Everyone The project is going to end soon, for multiple reasons:

1. My artist friend who is responsible for providing every piece of art the game needs is busy enough that making art for this project takes too long. Yes we could stall and deliver an update every 2 months from now on. Everybody knows that some creators do that, but I don't want to be another one that does this.

1. Beast Keeper began because my artist friend was struggling to find work, and we came up with this idea so he could have something stable; but for the last 6 months, he got his schedule full, and it doesn't seem like he's going to have more free time in the future. Plus we both want to move away from NSFW related stuff.

1. Discord is going to implement the mandatory age verification thing soon it seems, and I'm confident most people don't like this too much, due to Discord's track record. Subscribestar doesn't allow us to post the download links for the game directly into their platform because of the game's content, so it had to be here.

1. I couldn't find another artist, even at our peak subscriber count. But AI is a thing, and it could be done, but there are tons of AI smut games out there, I wouldn't want this project to be another one.

TL;DR: Low funds + Low motivation (we want to do SFW stuff) = pretend everything is fine and deceive supporters that have a good heart OR be honest and end the project. We chose the second option.



The money that our supporters kept giving for the last months will be used for the next update which is in the works and a last one after the current. The current update will be of 'normal' length, but the last one might be a bit shorter, since there won't be much left for me to give to the artist. I'm just letting you know that I took the decision to end the project right now. I wasn't sure some days ago, but since I am now, we stop taking Subscribestar money from now on (I will activate vacation mode indefinitely and end the subscribestar page once we have 0 subscribers; can't do that before everyone is out it seems), and we will use the funds gathered from these last 5 months the way we can. (I made 0 profit from the game, all the money gathered was paid to the artist. It's fine though, that's the life of a game dev, I have more than 100gb of games that never saw the light of day, this one did at least so it's a win for me ) Thank you everyone that supported us. I hope you understand. I don't know what will happen to this Discord, I don't feel too happy about the age verification thing, so it might get abandoned depending on what they decide to do. The updates should be added to f95 once they are ready. It should take a while though, my friend is busy as usual.
