You and me both. This was one added to the pile of disappointments and reasons I now completely ignore 0.1's, most of the time they are just waiting to be abandoned anyway. I really wish devs would just release their AVN already completed with 50 hours of content like used to be done for regular games when there was no such thing as early access or crowdfunding. Another example of the "good ol' days" gone to shit.

harder to monetize, and far too many devs got too comfortable trying to "just fly under the radar" on pay-sites that didn't want them, instead of looking for other options.
I never understood why they don't just make a dummy "art portfolio website" and fill it with their sfw work, and then have a generic "donate" button.
People who want to support them can give them money and everyone can pretend that it's about sfw art.
Or something like that.

Because the people moderating stuff like patreon aren't dumb either. If someone reports some artist's patreon as making loli porn they go out of their way to verify he's not doing that on other platforms unrelated to patreon and banning them straight after. Has happened already, I've seen artists claim that they cant make incest porn outside patreon because patreon moderators tell them they look it up outside of it, and if they find it they cancel his account.

Making 2 completely different dev names/ projects will solve that, with the safe one no one gives a shit about officially subsidizing the other secret loli one that will then not even need a payment platform itself. If necessry one could go full money-laundering mode like Backpage did when Visa/MC banned their original merchant accounts when the gov't told them to and they simply opened new ones with new front companies and there's not shit Patreon can do other than waste their time coming up empty handed. Worth it? If it's only getting $100/mo anyway definitely not, $10k/mo, sure. Personally I say fuck Patreon and haven't given anyone on there shit in over 7 years or SS anymore neither and I'm not the only one, it's why sub numbers for any AVN at all are now harder to climb than Everest, more and more people are fed up with their shit. Most loli devs that actually care about money have either went to Unifans or made some fake project for SS no one actually gives a shit about to fund what everyone actually subbed for like Ketzal did for SSP (which I don't even remember what his fake AVN is called). Prob high time to bring back some old school tech: this thing called a PO box rental along with these paper things called checks and stamped envelopes, assuming you still want to keep your home address secret.

You've missed the point. If you did my suggestion, you wouldn't be having a patreon.
Also, as Nicest said, pseudonyms have existed for 1,000s of years for a reason,
the capitalistic obsession with "having a brand" has driven so many into hurting themselves more than helping.
(Making discords for loli/shota games is another example. That shit is not encrypted, it is at least passively monitored (with the ability to be actively monitored), and is more than happy to tell the pigs anything they want to know about you.)

Thing is it's a waste of their time if they are totally different dev names where the only people that know they are the same dev are in a private Discord, which is the common setup these days, where only subs actually get access to that, not random free users and not Patreon either unless they also sub, which apparently they don't since almost no one gets busted that way as long as they keep their discussions about their loli AVN out of the free public eye and off Discord as well. For that most use Threema, the same encrypted/logless message app that actual ped0s use, which may seem like overkill but if you sub to, say, Such a Sharp Pain and live is a shitty country like Australia that legally treats C P and loli AVNs as the same thing it's really not. For most people getting busted/nuked on Patreon they simply followed traffic back to where the requests are coming from (usually F95) where anyone that knows how to read can figure out what's going on = pretty stupid. At least with this site Patreon is not going to grind coins for months or maybe even years just to investigate an account. Although i wouldn't consider privacy apps as "the things ****s/criminals use". I've seen the degeneracy of rights, privacy, anonimity, and security and i dont think there's anything weird about wanting to be secretive about things you dont want people to know.

Yeah if it's a new dev with low subs they prob will, otherwise they will prob not throw away $1000/mo from it with a dev with $12500/mo worth of subs without proof, with their thinking probably being if they can't find any then their payment processors (the ones mostly pulling their puppet strings) prob won't find any either. But why would a "fan" report the dev if they paid for it? That's another argument against having a too-cheap/free tier and why many devs don't have one and more often than not don't charge less than $5.
