It's annoying when it's bullshit like doors closing, walking, etc. Or the "tee hee" shit that's even annoying when it's just text. Agree, they always set the music at like concert hall volume by default. Voice is generally a waste. Be better to not have any to make it less bloated in terms of MB/GB.

Usually play with music and effects sounds on but human sounds off. I hate when there is all sound grouped into one slider or sliders are so badly labeled that you need to guess which one will shut up the unexpected moans.

If we’re talking about music or some subtle sound effects, then it’s fine, but if it’s about voices, I don’t think it’s necessary, especially if they are AI.

I play on mute. Most of the games are essentially an interactive comic so I put it on mute and read. The few times I've actually not muted I found it to be an unwanted distraction.
