FLUX.1[pro] is API only for online access, but FLUX.1 is open source. You can download all three models from the repository, and run them locally.

Some of what I've seen lately is incredibly lifelike and hard to distinguish if it's a person or not, while plenty is still obvious. I look forward to seeing the higher quality stuff used more for porn, because well fuck yes, though I hope people don't stop making smut the old fashioned way. I do believe AI will eventually help lead to the collapse of human civilization but whatever.

I agree with you, the best example is a game called Love Season Farmer's Dream, graphically it's great but from one update to another it has started using AI and it's horrible, I can't play it anymore.

Yes and no. It really comes down to how people use it.

Negatives:
• Real art gets drowned out. You've got assholes who post a million of the same images but with very small differences. You go on a page and it's like the first 3 pages is nothing but AI.
• It is absolutely taking jobs from artists. AI bros who argue otherwise are morons. I can tell you first hand that people who used to commission me regularly now just type shit up and generate all of their own shit. I'm only getting like a 4th of the work that I used to.
• A lot of people aren't good at working with it. They use crap models on crap computers and generate a bunch of samey looking slop with distorted faces and hands.

Positives
• While it's the greatest threat to artists right now, it's also their greatest tool. It can be a huge assistance to real artists. Save time by generating a background, generate ideas when going through an art block, or use it to generate reference material.
• As an artist I cannot get off to my own work. I spend several hours piecing all these vector shapes together, staring at my screen in the isolation of my cramped room and then it does nothing for me. AI has helped me generate what I want to see for myself. I can whip up a quick doodle, run it through the generator, and get some quick spank material of my waifu.
• Shitposts go brrrrrrrr.

Besides moral things, the thing I HATE the most about ai art is that I can no longer look at art without first going "wait is this ai" it's a curse and I hate it.

I don't think AI has ruined porn. It fits within the average of things, so If i'm looking for something in particular I can find it with a little fine tuning. It still can't replace the original, but it fits the "good enough" category when needed.

I Think it depends. If someone uses AI and specify things like the best option for tits, ass and so on for the charakter so that it looks good, why not. If someone use it for fast and random the results often are very simmular and not good.

With AI art being in full swing and flooding every image sharing site, it feels like so much of the soul is lost in a sea of art that everyone can instantly read as AI art? That the soul and talent is just missing from the AI art and I just dismiss it outright. Very rarely have I seen AI art and ever felt any arousal from it.

I'm not sharing the same opinion, to me AI will launch porn to the next level, when it will be ease of access to everyone the porn industry will have to come up with something new if they want to survive, now they are just trying to milk every penny they can out of you , content is all deja vu while AI is the biggest thing that have hit the market since the Blu-ray disk. It's just a question of time for politic world wide toward AI picture and Video become more open mind, when that will happen are mind are gonna be

Just like us humans AI art can be a hit or miss but i do like AI enhancement it can't make eyes pop like crazy in CG

I think AI needs a few more years to reach the point where its going to be hard to tell if something is AI or not (especially as people get more exposed to AI and learn to identify it) and obviously even more time for video to reach that quality. I think at that point there's going to be no difference between "human made art" and "human guided art" other than a price tag associated with it. While the idea that a AI could never create something new, a human using AI softwear probably can and will in the future.

TLDR: Nothing is ruined and its only going to get better and more common as time goes on.

A lot of it can look samey, but with a good Checkpoint and Lora combo, and mastered usage of prompts you can make some great images. I personally enjoy IMG2IMG stuff over TXT2IMG, and Inpainting if something is off. Definitely go with Automatic1111 Stable Diffusion, and save the hassle of using some random website to generate art.

Granted, I haven't done any of that stuff in a while, but I thought it was pretty neat.

i despise ai "art" to be honest. most of the stuff generative ai produces just feels empty and vacuous. what's that one quote where the guy was like "AI made me believe in the human soul by showing me what art looks like without it" or something? idk. i know a lot of people here like it, but even if you don't consider the impact its having on the power grid, its just not something i ever see myself enjoying or appreciating.

I don't know if it's "if you can't beat them, join them" mentality I have, but I've made some AI art that I could not have made with other tools, and nobody else was going to make it for me. I can try ideas, and see how I feel about them. And I am not especially skilled with the tools, I think someone with great skill could do so much more.
