Anyone else actually a fan of the grinding games?

There are multiple ways of making the grind enjoable, first and most important the reward must be equaly good (or bad) as the grind. Also some innovation and not just repeat that scene 10 times to get the points. Having different details or ways of the same scene helps a lot.
 
depends on grinding if is that infections of repeating something all over and over again is just boring and I delete the game....If the grinding are decent with some smart ideas between grind and reward to pay your hardwork without to be repetitive scene....then I'm okay with it. I don't want to waste my time play same thing just to collect something and do all over again... like a robot.

on these types of games when there are multiple such events it stresses me as i try to juggle and schedule it all to miss as few days as possible. it feels like multitasking

The worst one it's one and you have to go through lots of boring stuff before you can advance. Even worse if you can't skip time.

That's one of the worst game system you could see, it's cancer than need to be eradicated.

yeah... i wasn't even considering that because of how awful and poorly thought out it is
 
They can be fun but ... The reward has to be there as well! I run into so many that are not just gindie but also very confusing and have unnecessary upkeep parts.
 
Games where you have to spend 8+ hours playing before you finally get any reward for your time are the absolute worst.
 
a porn game, as opposed to a mere VN or VN+five-choices-in-1200-pages, should be 1) fun and 2) never leave you wondering what the hell you should do, and 3) never go too long without some titties. you need to tease and draw out anticipation.

if the girls can be in random locations throughout the day, a minimap should show which they are at. clicking to random empty locations is a bore.

if the author wants to go RPG style with a stats system, they need to make it worth your while to level up. not just require you to rapidly day cycle and click the "+1 to girth" button a thousand times.

have enemies. have fights. have puzzles. have all the shit that normal games with grind based mechanics have. if you want to build a game with titties, you have to build an actual game to get there.

I'll grind all god damned day if it feels like I'm making progress and there are little rewards scattered about to tease whatever's coming up.

most of the bad shit we see is just people vying to create their first game while half the time also being new to programming and new to modeling.

no huge surprise that people that have never done shit before find out it's harder to pull off well than it is to fap to.
 
i dont mind to grind a bit, but in some games its just to much and not a clue about what to do.
If its well don its just make the game better.
 
A little grind is ok, but it can become a drag very easy. It's a tough line to walk as a dev
 
I like it when its done right

In resume what makes boring:
- If are no clues = bad

- Repetitive = bad
- Certain local, certain hour = bad
- Poor reward after grind = bad
 
Grinding is fine as long as it's a meaningful and fun loop. If it's literally just padding for the sake of artificially lengthening the game, then it's just laziness or bad design.
