discussion Anybody who used to be on another site and now spends more time here?

I used to spend time on websites or forums in my own language when I was back home in my own country, but I have been spending time on Lewdcorner and following the threads for not too long now. It's not too big of a mess. Although there are fewer people, I think it is better. Calmness is sometimes good. On some websites in my country, I used to argue with 10.000 users at a time. I think it was as crowded as a stadium. Maybe the site administrators will love it, but I don't even know how many moderators and administrators were controlling the site. Where there are many, there is shit. What do you think about this issue?

Sometimes a close-knit community is far better than a large one. You start getting tens of thousands of people involved and it is damn near impossible to have any sort of regulations or oversight lol. Plus a smaller forum/community feels more welcoming

For me personally, the ratio is relevant - 75% of my time is spent on an unnamed other site, 25% is spent here.

I am active on the other site only when discussing games that are under development and that I am interested in. These are Bright Past, Straitened Times, Amnesia, Corruption Town, Club Detention and High School Days. These projects are represented here as well, but on the other site the discussion is incomparably more informative and interesting.

Here my activity is mainly concentrated in the General Discussions section.
In the Games section there is a very strong deficit of serious, in-depth reviews of these or those projects.
I don't mind longreads, I'm more annoyed by comments of 5-10 words.

Yes. For the games I like this is now the best site to find them. All the places I had more involvement in are gone or are on a short life span

But I've been enjoying the experience here.

Yeah I hate that I kept putting off downloading some mods for games I haven't yet played but have been busy with some other games like Fallout.

To put it bluntly, I bookmark the games I follow, and as soon as the games I bookmarked are updated, they are also updated here and I don't need to use another site. I also prefer this site because of its Games+ feature.

This question was raised recently - there are more active users there, and this is the case when quantity turns into quality, hence there are more serious discussions of certain projects, a lot of intelligent, well-thought-out and formulated reviews. Alas, this is lacking here (at least for the moment). You see, the kind of content that might attract users here is not as popular as it might seem from here. I've earned some ranks here only to find that I don't need them. Everything I need is available on other sites, and without the complication.
