I'm a single malt scotch man through and through, preferably aged. No blends or any of that shite. Call me a snob if you like, but the taste of them lacks character. Love Laphroaig 10 and Ardbeg 10, but they can be expensive, so Ardmore is my go-to.

I prefer Jack's Honey hands down

Despite being part Scot I loathe Scottish and Irish whiskey, give a good rebel bourbon and I'm happy
or failing that I'm partial to licorice vodka :D

For me I like Togouchi 15 and 18 years a lot.

I like whiskey, but If I ge a free pick I go with Rum. Might because I grew up LOVING molasses Cookies snice Rum is made from Molasses.

As a whisk(e)y enjoyer for a couple of years, i've developed a taste for bourbon. I like all kinds of whiskys, single malt scotch, blended scotch, irish (i didn't try the japanese or canadian yet), but i like bourbon the most.
My favorites are: Woodford Reserve, Bulleit Bourbon, Tullamore Dew, JW blue label, Jameson Black Barrel and Wild Turkey 101.
The "meh" are the Grand Old Parr, Ballantines, Jameson (regular) and the Glenlivet.
The worst I've drinked was any of the "argentinian" whiskys like Blenders, Breeder's Choice, Old Smuggler. (Context: my country, Argentina, have some of the greatest whisky brands of all Latin America, like La Alazana, Orden del Libertador or EM&C Pampa Single Malt, but the ones i pointed (Blenders, Breeder's Choice and Old Smuggler) are not actually "made" here... They import the whiskey wort and only add water and that is what they sell.

Like all whiskies - Scotch and Irish - blended (gulping whisky) and single malt (sipping whisky). Hate Welsh whisky, hate bourbon, don't like Japanese. However, the Swedish make a passable one.

Love me some Whisky. I particularly enjoy Scotch from the Islay region, Laphroaig particularly, but Ardbeg is also satisfactory. That mouthful of peaty smoke is just.....indescribable.

I'm not much of a smoker, but if I get a good cigar I enjoy dipping the tip (just the tip) into my whisky and smoking through it.

Haven't had hard liquor in years. Mostly a beer guy and getting older/poor health even that's usually 1, sometimes 2 a night. I liked Jameson. Was never one who could afford the decent single malt scotch. Tennessee whiskey is another kind that can be decent.

Try Monsho if you're interested in branching out to Japanese whiskey. It's got a smokey profile, but has a japanese refinement to it. No other way I can describe the way it tastes. Just that there is a recognizable air of quality to the drink.

I'll buy it as soon as i get a new job :ROFLMAO: i quit my last job last month so i'll be short of money for a while... but i will!

Tennessee whiskey is good when you want something sweet. It's the corn mash that adds the sugars I think.
Scotch is good when you want a nice depth of flavor profile, there's four regions and they've all got very different tastes. Islay is my preferred, it's a very strong, smokey/peaty flavor with almost an iodine undertaste. Highland Park from the Orkney region is another good popular scotch, very rich, I always get apples out of their whisky for some reason. Not too familiar with a lot of other regions yet, I'm afraid. Need to get a higher income level to experiment more.

Love whiskey and all sorts. From heavy peat to smooth Irish and mainland Scottish. JW Green label
Talisker, Edradour. Currently savoring a 15yo Bowmore.

Also love a great bourbon like Blantons.

Maker's Mark bourbon is my favorite.

Bourbon is mostly corn and often not sweet, though it can be a bit.

If it's not one of the expensive ones, mix with cola.

Bourbon is my go too. I like Bullitt and Buffalo Trace.

So what's everyones fave whiskey?
