Try it neat or with ice. If you are paying good money for a whisky, why destroy the flavour of the whisky by mixing it it with coke. Coke or any homebrand cola should only be used to help disguise the flavour of cheap spirits.

Its made from grains and then run through a still, therefore its a Whisky.

I like Whisk(e)y from all over the world. Talisker, Laphroaig and Ardbeg are great but best so far was a peated Chichibu from Japan. As for Bourbon I like Makers Mark.

Long time no see. Got a nice bottle of Powers Three Swallow Irish Single Pot. Would try it this evening. Also bought some Ojo de Tigre mezcal.

Update: It turned out Powers is so blank and simple, that I couldn't enjoy it even with Cola. And I spent around 35-40 bucks for this shit. Wouldn't recommend.

I don't know if such thread is allowed here, nevertheless my questions to you, fellow lewdcornerers, are:
- do you like whisk(e)y/bourbon or not?
- what brend would you 100% advise?
- what brend is kinda average or meh?
- what brend is awful/not to your taste?

As for me, I'm a whisk(e)y fan for about 2 or 2.5 years. Bourbon is not my kind of lovely drink, gonna pass.
My favorites are: Bushmills (Original and Blackbush), Dewars (White Label and Port Cask), Auchentoshan American Oak (my favorite so far), Glen Moray, Glenallachie 12y, The Irishman, Connemara Peated, Glengrants Arboralis and Aberlour 12y.
The "meh" are Johnie Walker, Glenmorangie (just don't appeal to me, average at most).
The worst I've drinked not so long ago was Teeling Single Grain, matured in Cabernet Saugvignon casks - it is so disgusting and chemical-perfumery, that I could swallow it only with Cola.

I'm a fan of Whiskey, Scotches and bourbons all.
For a 100 % advise;
- Irish Whiskey, Slane (Triple Casked Irish Whiskey) or Sexton (Single Malt Irish Whiskey)
- Bourbon, Uncle Nearest or Angel's Envy
- Scotch Monkey Shoulder for a Blended, Balvenie 14 year for a Single Malt
- Average Tincup, and Jameson
- Awful/Not to my taste? Anything Johnny Walker. I find it overrated, and Jack Daniels whole suite of products.
