Sounds like a good plan. Btw what does the green banner with "</>" in the middle of the bottom banner on your profile represent? I know the one above is for member+, but I haven't been too active on here and am curious about the other one.
That one is for game developer. I made the arkanoid game and the puzzle. I also have some small visual novel but I need to wait for p1 before posting.
I can add more levels to the arkanoid and the puzzle if someone gives me images they want as background.

Anyone play tabletop games here

I wish

I like tabletop games, but it's so hard to get a group of people together in a room for a few hours to play. Also, it is tough to get people to learn the rules to a new game without them just getting bored or distracted.

Because exactly this

That's impressive considering Catan is generally the most complicated game I can get people to play.
Uhhhhhh so wait, like - when can I build a city?

I can relate so much. I've tried to get my friends into D&D, but they all despise the idea of tabletop games. I fear that tabletop games will become very niche sooner than later

Effectively another thing that smartphones have ruined.

I fear it mostly is minus a few outliers.

Good morning and happy Wednesday. It's also World Bee Day.

You just don't know where to look. I live by 3 game shops that are always full on TTRPG nights. I think it's getting more popular here on the west coast.

Some family members of mine collect cards so whenever I go to those shops, I always see a room full of people with their wh40k statues. I personally don't like TT even as a kid so I am not interested.

I dont know about the popularity, but yeah, it has gotten a lot more accessible. Also considering the online tools like FoundryVTT, Roll20 and so on.

It's for sure super popular compared to how it used to be back 10 years ago when I was actively playing dnd. A lot more public games you can join, just within my friend circle there's like 5-6 games running, which used to be just the one I ran back in the day. And this is in a pretty rural part of the country I live in, from my understanding it's even easier to find a game in the cities. Never got very into playing them online though, I tried a few times both as a player and as a GM, both with friends and randoms online, none captured the magic of IRL for me. But I'm very much a pen and paper fanatic, I don't like using any digital tools when I play, no digital character sheet, rules books or dice for me!

Foundry is great. Makes getting into the game so much easier. Talespire is awesome too, but more useful for making cool 3d maps.

How do people feel abut pathfinder?

Really liked pathfinder 2.0 when it first came out as a breath of fresh air compared to 5e, played some pathfinder 1e but I came in after 5e came out so was never too exposed to it. My players didn't like either 1e or 2e when I tried though so never got too into either, but managed to get through a short campaign of 2e

Maybe there should be a separate "Nerd Shit" thread.

why though? Unless it takes over this thread completely I don't see why a new thread that will die in like a day probably is needed, the topic doesn't get brought up all that much from what I've seen

Nah, if we make a nerd shit thread, this one will die. It's all nerd shit in here.
I agree, it drives a bit of engagement in here, and even if one was made, it would die, people would not know it exists and would still post about nerd stuff in here anyways
