I have never tried Final Fantasy? Is it really that good? Which game would be ideal to start from?

Wait, it is? ...Oh, looks like it is. Guess getting the rank is gonna take me a bit longer then.

The good thing about FF is that they are all games completely independent from each other. So you can start with whatever game seems appealing to you without the fear of missing context on something

I will say the installation process for XI is one of the worst things I've experienced, so I understand not installing it :c

The earlier games often struggled with fleshing out the entire cast having more focus on the gameplay and worldbuilding. After the change to 3D some of the cast got more development but dialogues grew increasingly hammier. Feels like bit by bit it loses some of it's identity but the decline in classic style JRPG means it can still mask some of the losses

Personaly FF6 is my favorite due to it's mellow tecnomagic vibe and more somber atmosphere

I was thinking about start playing, I previously played the one with lightining, and didnt like very much

But I'll give i a try again, gonna look into FF6

Just keep in mind one thing, when the floating island starts to self destruct and a party member leaves to help. The timer is NOT for you to get to your ship to get out of the island but for you to endure the monster waves until they come back. Biggest mistake i made on my first run

I’m finally starting to get over my choice paralysis and getting back to the games I left unfinished.

But it got me wondering, do you guys ever replay games you’ve already finished, just to see if they still hold up? Or do you prefer to leave them as they are and just keep the memories in your heart without revisiting them?

Is there ever a fear that they won’t live up to the nostalgia?

There are so many games and so little time. Sometimes I can’t decide whether I should go back and replay old favorites or spend that time trying new games I haven’t experienced yet.
