A problem I have in a lot of games is that I obsess over side quests, then once I finally get around to the main quest, it is so easy because my dude is so overpowered.
I have this same exact issue, few games out there tho lock some side quests behind main quests. The only way to stop us side quest goblins.

Same shit. couldn't finish Witcher 3 because of all side stuff on a map. Got hyped by another game and didn't return to witcher yet.

Dark Souls and other Fromsoftware games are easy people are just stupid in playing it to make things harder from them and say it is a hard game.
Fromsoft games are hard if you dont know how to level up properly, a lot of ppl just put levels on random stats and then they get locked, cuz normal enemies just dont give sufficient souls / whatever

but if you know what you are doing and level up 3 to 4 stats and upgrade your weapons then souls are a walk in the park, like playing dark souls 1 with a big ass weapon and putting almost every point on strenght and health lol

I went through this exact issue. I played it back in the day on xbox 360 or whatever (I'm not sure how they ever got it to run on that) never finished it, but I loved the game and wanted to play it with the "next gen" upgrade on PC.. Then last year I had a ton of unexpected time off and was determined to finish everything and finally did, but it took FOREVER. Specially the last DLC (Blood and Wine) which added a whole new huge map area, I was like YAY, but also GODDAMNIT! haha

witcher 3 has a big problem with the amount of side content and the leveling system in the game, you open the map and its like you get skullfucked by all the shit on in, awesome game though, probably has the best side quests ever

Very true, I like to go into games blind and playing Dark Souls 2 with no explanation for how ADP works (and also stupidly taking the double damage covenant at the start without realising ;-; ) made the game alot harder than it had to be :3

Guys you got to try Sorcerer 2 [Talothral] Just saw it existed I love the 1st one and it seems this is a sequel.

Sounds fun haha, never played ds2. You know people say that the dodging is awful cuz of that stat that i can't remember, but still i would like to try it, would you recommend it?

Next milestone in postponement is an upcoming new dlc leading story to W4

It's my favourite game of all time, so I definitely recommend it!

As much as I think the game is an amazing experience full of things to explore and discover, I think before starting you really should know how ADP works (ADP (and ATN but at a much lesser amount) increases your Agility, which increases the amount of invincibility frames your roll has and the speed you use estus at, go to 96/99 Agility as a minimum early and the game should feel less horrible to play :3)

Yea, I saw that might be a thing, but didn't see anything definitive yet.

Time for me to go.

Ah yes the Git Gud mentality. Personally I despise the whole soul and souls-like genre of games.

Nothing but over-rated trash as I need more in my RPGs then just insane difficulty bosses.

Well, that’s a way to see it. I think that playing a Souls game just for the hard bosses is stupid. Souls / Sekiro / Elden Ring, etc., have outstanding world-building and an incredible amount of possible builds you can play with. Every single object you can read about in the game has a pinch of lore or useful information about the world. I personally play them for the lore and for trying to understand what happened in the past. For example, at the launch of Elden Ring, spending time on Reddit pulling theories and talking with fellow fans was amazing... so much fun.

thank you, will play it for sure, once i finish ff7 remake (feels long af hahah, almost stretched)

I have a super bad habit of playing partway through a game then picking up a new game… every time I go back to resume the first one I forget what I am doing
We do the same! That or finishing up 50-100 hours games in 3 days to a week without any break. Still remember my week playing through Persona 5 all these years ago... Good times
Time for me to go.

Thanks for reminding me on how I despise the way those games handle story telling as well.

Anyway Crimson Desert looks interesting and is supposed to be Witcher 3/Breath of the Wild, with bits of Tears of the Kingdom with their Sky Islands and skydiving.

Hello People! I hope everyone is doing great this year!

I see people are talking about games, so here is my contribution for the discussion: This weekend I completed Link's Awakening, for GameBoy. Heading to Ocarina of Time now... Along a bunch of other games I want to play.
