It’s a mid-range option, right? I’m planning to get it with an RTX 5050 and 16 GB of RAM. Do you think that’s future-proof?

Converted to USD, it’s around $1,012. Would you consider that a good deal?

Honestly, I’m still on the fence about getting a new rig and need a bit of convincing.

My old laptop is currently in for repairs (already being fixed), but even before that, it could run a lot of games I haven’t even tried yet. I’ve got a pretty big backlog of classic and indie titles I want to get through: Fallout 1 through New Vegas, Skyrim + Enderal, Minecraft, Terraria, Hytale, and more. Realistically, I wouldn’t need to touch modern AAA games for a long time.

That said, my PC struggled with Witcher 3 and I couldn’t run Cyberpunk 2077 at all, so I know I’m completely locked out of newer, demanding titles.

One thing that’s making me consider buying a laptop now is the thought that prices might go up in this AI-heavy economy if I wait.

So… convince me

What modern, high-requirement games (Cyberpunk-tier or higher) are actually worth upgrading for? What would make you say, “yeah, this alone justifies a new PC”?

Oh yeah, Elden Ring too. I’m not that great at these kinds of games, but Elden Ring feels more approachable, and I know you can always cheese it with a magic build

I’d recommend Stardew Valley. It opened my eyes to farming and crafting sims in general, and it actually made me want to try Minecraft, Terraria, and even Harvest Moon.

i could imagine it working on an older pc, don't think it's so demanding.

Maybe I'm old, maybe I suck, but any of the souls-like games just wreck my hands. Literally painful afterwards. And I lose. Ugh.

Shouldn't be too bad with a mage build and/or a good keybinding setup (i play with keyboard/mouse). But i also can see it causing pain, i tend to get neck pain when playing such a game for too long

Times are tough and have been for a long time. I would love to buy games and support devs, but money is so tight, I've got no margins.

But seriously, is it true that EA puts minimal effort into those games? Like, they just reuse the same engine from previous titles and only update the players.

If true, EA really needs some real competition in the sports game space. Like how Palworld is filling the role for Pokémon.

Hopefully we get something similar for EA so they actually have to step up.

Man Cyberpunk 2077 is one of the best games ever to me honestly. Hada rough launch but after the phantom liberty dlc and the updates its crazy good.
