If you're looking for the sensation that you're a merc walking around ancient Greece, it doesn't get better. The game is loaded with historical content. If you're at all familiar with ancient Greek historical sources, you'll feel familiar everywhere you go, between the places, landmarks, and a ton of the named character cast. I didn't know I needed to roam the Aegean with Herodotus him-fucking-self until I played Odyssey, and what other action RPG lets you argue with Socrates?
It's just top tier. The gameplay itself is okay, too.
i was talking of nsfw modifications for games recently here and how there should have been a thread for such a thing........ well there is! many of the same suggestions in this one, but some very interesting ones aswell "project zomboid" is one i picked up only recently and i am now to find out there is a nsfw mod for that it seems there is a nsfw mod for everything you can imagine
here is the thread if any one else is interested, i seem to have predicted the....... past? an amazing ability, i know
Skyrim, obviously. I remember spending 20 hours on it alone, learning how to replace textures, then making my own textures (very basic stuff), browsing LL for more mods. It was also the game that introduced me to modding.
Resident Evil. Killing and running away from monsters while in the nude adds to the fun.
For me, I'm a leaf in the wind. Nothing more. Nearly every movie, comic, book, or similar media is starring me or one my fellow leafs. For the Truman Show one of my nieces was starring after he had plastic surgery and they deemed him fit enough for an imposter role as camera prop,
I kinda get this as well, as someone who is usually at my computer when I see people not respond to my messages for like 12 hours+ I start to question if they're ignoring me :3
I got bad news for you. Thin clients are real and more and more self hosted storage systems and server applications are outsourced to cloud services and third parties. Unfortunaly it will be a forced future.
The mobile gaming scene is still pretty rough. Most original mobile games just end up being gacha, and the few serious titles on mobile are usually just PC ports anyway.
To be fair, devs are probably reluctant to port serious PC games in the first place. Adapting keyboard/mouse or controller-based gameplay to touch controls takes a lot of work, and the payoff likely isn’t worth it.
Honestly, they should just push proper mobile controllers. Something you can jack straight into your phone, either USB-C or even the headphone jack.
then there is Diablo Immortal which was basically emulated on the PC (and had shit controls/ui compared to the mobile version) where the mobile version was technically better.
the deal is not very bad considering the prices of such things these days........ many cards have been increasing in price.... not getting lower.... the lower end of the 50 series have avoided such things to a small extent but are still victims.... just like us in this current climate
for the brand....... i have not used Asus before.... i have known one or two workmates who have and they seemed to be quite happy in our brief discussion about tech-brands so you may be in good hands..... i hope! the ram being 16gb DDR5 is good in my own opinion.....
NVMEs are also increasing in their prices... the 512gb of storage may be low for you..... coming from a much older laptop though i think you will be blown out of your seat by just how fast it will boot by comparison
it is of course more expensive than it would be some time ago.... but as many of us have cried about in this thread before it is likely to get worse before it gets better
off the top of my head...... the one i use to think.... ok that does not narrow it down..... the one with the hair... no.... the one with eyes attached building such a thing yourself with a desktop would not be far off in price in current climate.... 512gb nvme probably 100 and something dollar.... the 5050 probably around 300 dollar... maybe even more by tomorrow the infamous ram anywhere from 200 to 250 dollar... the cpu i am not too sure but likely to be 150 dollar or some such around that number.... this is not counting the monitor you would need with a pc also with peripherals!
so in total maybe 750-800 and something dollar... more? with just components.... if you were to desktop-it. so not bad! of course desktop cards do mostly perform better with such things and your requirements would be based on what you wish to do with such... for mid range gaming.... i think perhaps it should be fine... remember the cost of building it desktop does not include the monitors and the like, which you get with the laptop.... so you are probably looking at a price closer to what you have now with maybe a little of that laptop premium added on.
that is just my own opinion though........ always do your research and see if it is the best for you!
