It is broken... 99% of the site doesn't work correctly. The old Xenforo version has worked for months if not years before this, there was no indication that it was going to break everything. (this is not a better choice)It's not broken, addons are disabled because they need to be upgraded. Not updating xenforo version could result in everything breaking, so this is way better choice.
1. There was a poll and 85% of the users voted to upgrade. It is broken... 99% of the site doesn't work correctly. The old Xenforo version has worked for months if not years before this, there was no indication that it was going to break everything. (this is not a better choice)
The thread(s) to vote on what to do is completely pointless because the admins and site owner doesn't listen to any feedback when it COMES to actually testing everything BEFORE pushing the shit to production like any sane site or development project would have in place.
On top of all of that, we just got out of a multiple day maintenance mode just to be put back into one but worse because surprise we also need $400+ to upgrade everything or the stuff we previously had.
Hell you can't even see latest updates on games which is mostly why people are here in the first place.
You missed a big part in that option, most people wanted to upgrade... only if it wasn't going to break the site1. There was a poll and 85% of the users voted to upgrade.
No one would consider this to be tested when 99% of the features the site had doesn't work2. Once again, stuff was tested before.

First of all, don't spread misinformation that there are plans on "nuking" this thread. Second of all, as for "how to kill your forum" - even during rollback LC noticed increase of it's userbase, community is very far from dying.Just came back from reading the thousand new discord replies.
Sounds like they have plans to nuke this thread and any future ones as well.
Basically 101 ways to slowly kill your forum.

Heck I always said we need to engage more with the game threads instead.![]()
I am very sad to hear I annoy you, however I must intervene when such extreme misinformation is spread. To clarify, I assume you are referring to this:Sure a mod alluded to it. So it's not misinformation.
Anyway your starting to get my nerves.
Might be time for the ignore option if it even works.![]()

Time to cool off and go offsite. So good-day everyone.

It was tested and this result was expected.

So it was known that the updated version would cause problems, and yet it was updated anyway?1. There was a poll and 85% of the users voted to upgrade.
2. Once again, stuff was tested before.
3. LU page is being worked on, it's stupid to pay for addon that is being thrown away anyway.
Apparently the site had many errors that could not be fixed and was breaking the site down. Additionally I can show you this and I hope this is enough for you to get your answers:So it was known that the updated version would cause problems, and yet it was updated anyway?
Why not wait and fix everything (collect enough donations) over time until all these add-ons could be replaced/fixed?
Was there any immediate reason to update right now and not wait a little longer?
A "Not updating xenforo version could result in everything breaking" is not a valid explanation, because it was apparently certain that the update broke things (as in force disabling functions), while the old version would still have worked.
i def broke somethingQuick site check seems more features are working.

Mods don’t speak for devs
The answer my young padawan is you mean nothing to all of them. What's an user to a mod?
What's a mod to a dev?
What's a dev to an owner?
What's an owner to a god?
What's a god to a non believer, who don't believe in anything?
