I think the Force Awakens was a great set up to a bunch of really cool things that never ended up happening. It was good enough in a vacuum though

I agree the force awakens I did enjoy at least Kylos lightsaber finally bringing about the cracked kyber crystals into the live action world, just love the noises and how angry it sounded. Plus I was super excited to hear more about Snoke and his backstory but then they were like nah we kill him off and tell you nothing unless you go and read the books.
