I actually have no idea how to use gifs

Same as you post images attach files the click them and chose thumbnail or full

Gifs and pics you have saved on your device you can simply drag&drop into the text editor of the forum when writing a reply. Works in theory also from other pages but that sometimes messes up.

And it's always good to have a basic gif-pool to chose from at hand anyway.
