discussion Anti-Social & Lurker - Hideout spot

To anyone not knowing - apparently now Steam is going to be as strict as Patreon when it comes to incest content, if they don't soon just stop allowing adult content period. That's a particularly American thing though:
Violence = "fuck yeah!"
Sex = "oh, hell no!"

I do wonder if it will be regional, a good example was Conan Exiles. Here in the UK we could have full male and female nudity, but my buddies in the US couldn't have any. Until one got a UK account atleast.

Yeah, it's because the payment companies like Mastercard and Visa is not ok with that kind of content.

[MattShizzle]

Yeah, it's because the payment companies like Mastercard and Visa is not ok with that kind of content.

Except the companies that sell actual porn take those cards...
BTW did you know you could actually give a flying fuck? As a present. Looks like it's no longer for sale anywhere now. It was remote control - more a toy than a drone:

Yeah, it's because the payment companies like Mastercard and Visa is not ok with that kind of content.

And the pervs, free speech folks and gun rights folks won't band together to resist in any meaningful way...

I don't think this will be a regional thing. Like Patreon outright banned incest on the platform because of payment companies iirc.

If those three groups ever got together to protest - the gun rights folks would shoot the pervs and the free speech folks wouldn't care. The perverts , at least, know that gathering in a group to protest just makes you an easier target. We may be perverts but we are not suicidal.

Hello Captain Panda

Yes, a subset of GR folks are going to conflate 'perv' with 'pdf file' (all pdf's are pervs, but not every perv is a pdf). However, all three groups need to get into the libertarian mindset (leave everyone, including me, the hell alone) or else. IMO, all groups that aren't looking to control what everyone else is doing with their stuff need to get on the 'leave ppl alone' bandwagon, but I doubt I'll see it in my lifetime. [sarcasm] I can obviously run your finances more responsibly than you can, considering how much smarter I am [/sarcasm]. Controllers are always super hot to spend other people's money for them.

And (actually peacefully) protesting (also called a riot if the protesters are of the wrong opinion according to the news) is not super effective vs corpos... sending letters and canceling cards/contracts en masse is more likely to be effective. Additionally getting a parallel economy going (preferably Libertarian-like) would reduce the effectiveness of these payment processors' attempts to wield power.
