I got sick of school at the ripe old age of 6 when we had to start learning how to read.

I also struggled with school. I did end up going to college and taking some technical courses, but I always struggled. Eons later I find out that I have ADHD, so now I know why school was so hard for me.

Nah! It lets my mind wander freely without requiring overmuch focus when performing my job. I am more on the ADD side of ADHD, though ADD is no longer used, and can't quite focus on mentally taxing things for long without my brain going into shut-down mode and wanting to go do something else.
