I use comfy-ui locally with civit-ai to grab models as well as a resource for learning.
Civitai does require an account but you can just use a throwaway.

Woops sorry. So I use an offline ai-generator (ran on my own machine versus an online server) called comfy-ui. You can find it on git and go through the readme for how to install it.
I use a website called civitai for grabbing models and loras.

InvokeAI is not bad, and can be run completely local.
