Totally fair. Anything super alcoholic is definitely an acquired taste, at best. Cocktails can be great for that, though: a nice ice-based drink like a margarita could remind you of a slushy/slurpee; or gin-based drink with some citrus can really get you going. Though, if I'm not feeling the alcohol taste, I usually go for something simple like a screwdriver (orange juice and vodka), which you can add as much or as little alcohol as you want so you can just taste the juice. Veeery dangerous though

Who needs a liver anyways, totally optional. I'll definitely have to try these

Wine coolers, a nice flavored ale (I'm partial to a nice Redd's Wicked from time to time though I prefer my liquor), Rumchata, Malibu Coconut Rum.. just the few off the top of my head if you're looking for IRL suggestions.

Wine coolers are definitely good for that, definitely the go-to for most of the people I know who don't like alcohol much. Also recommend gin sours if you're not into sweet drinks.

I feel this. I have zero reaction gifs/pics saved throughout my internet lifetime cuz it's just now how I'm used to interacting. I have no idea how the peeps here seem to find the perfect gifs to reply with, it's legit impressive.

Ya, I almost never save gifs either. My experience tells me the best way is to just use a simple search term in the gif search engine, usually integrated in most social media, which relates to the sentiment you want to convey, then choose the one that speaks to you the most. Maybe it's a reference you get, or just seems funny/weird. Either way, people tend to respond to authenticity.

Back-reading caught up. Played Remnant: From the Ashes for a short session. It was fun and I'm itching to play more. Has anyone played Balatro? My friend is currently obsessed with it and it sounds right up my alley being that it's poker and deck-building. What are your thoughts?

Balatro is really fun. Getting your score to go ridiculously high is very satisfying, lots of unlockables and it has a handful of different decks that give you different bonus.

Yeah - I almost never grab the day of release for any title, but I did intend to get to it much earlier than I did. Several of the VNs in the queue ahead of it had issues with rewrites, Modders disappearing, bullshit associated with Steam releases, and I had to do a few full replays. Then, as I finished one, something in the queue would jump ahead - I sort my folders on the external by date, and get the one that had been updated the least recently, and if something with an older save date than Eternum released, then I got it. I have made a couple of exceptions - tried doing one, but it was royally fucked up due to a RenPy change, and I wasn't in the mood to completely start over at the time. Might get it next; and, while Chasing Sunsets was technically in line ahead of this, it was a "Sancho" mod VN that has some complexity to it, so I was waiting to see if he came back, then saw that there were some epilogues coming, so I moved that until the epilogue versions are released. Already had to do a full replay of all my paths on that after they did the RenPy change, and if I have to do them all again, I want to wait until full completion.

This is in my long list of games to play. Please let us know what you think of it.
