In my experience, once you put anything out there, you'll come into contact with people who want you to succeed. Please don't feel daunted by the coding, it's really not very complex. And, if anything, not knowing what's possible will let you think out of the box and make it possible. Maybe not alone, but there are tons of knowledgeable people on here.
And about AI; this is one of the benefits of it, I think. It will let people like me, who just can't dedicate the time to learn complex software, to still create something.

If i create a VN one day, i would prefer to do the writing and have someone else do the art. It's also easier on a legal ground if there is loli: i mean creating loli image is technically illegal in my country. I can defend myself like "i just did the writing which is legal".

My experience is people are constantly whining update aren't coming soon enough, accusing dev of milking, don't care about legal risks the dev of such games take... They don't even really see devs as a human being but as slaves to procure them their pleasure (im pretty sure it's even worse when the dev is a woman, a LGBT+ person or from another minority). There is unfortunately many immature and toxic people in the gaming or porn enthousiasts community.

40k seems insurmountable at first, but I've been at it for about three weeks and am almost halfway there. The important thing to keep in mind is that there's no rush. From what others have told me, there is very little to be gained from P4. I'm mainly seeking the summit just in case it becomes more relevant in the future.

People who say there is very little in P4 don't know what they talk about. There is a lot of content, just it's AI images, not games. So people who only come here for games don't really need this rank.

This whole place is pretty much a shit show. But as long as my checks keep going through I'll deal with it. I'm in my early 40s and this is the best paying job i've had. Still live pay check to pay check but at least i'm not having to struggle to pay my bills

Sounds like some of my past jobs. I totally get it, as long as you are getting paid, and you have food. Only thing I can say is know your worth, get your experience, and take it some where else, if it gets really bad. You never know what other places will pay for you experience.

Yeah, that's entirely fair. Though you'll also have to check if owning any loli art could be illegal, if the story would contain any of that. You would have those files on your computer.
I'd do the same, to be honest. Write the story and code the game, but leave the art to an actual artist.

I don't know about entitlement being worse in those cases, it's just that haters have a lot more to ways to attack that dev personally.
Rule of thumb, if they aren't supporting your game financially, their whining doesn't matter. As long as you're transparent in however you monetize the game (eg update cycle, chapter progress, any difficulties during development, etc) it's all good. In my experience, players who actually like a game are very understanding when its developer is transparent with them. A large part of this is managing expectations. Underpromise and overdeliver.

This place did. I'm a shipper. At my last job where I learned how to ship. I was only being paid 18 an hour and hadn't had a raise in 2 and a half years. was also the warehouse lead and pretty much the manager. But was pasted over as the new warehouse manager cause I didn't play the office politics and was let go shortly after. This place hired me at 22 hour and was given a 2 dollar raise after 5 months. Raise are coming up again here soon.

This hypothesis deserves a deep dive. I've never taken pooter pills, but I received enemas when I was sick as a young child. I tend to shy away from most butt stuff these days and haven't been sick in over a decade.

I made a personal choice yesterday with gaining ranks here. While P1 was a no brainer to eliminate the timeout and P2, P3 are basically empty the badges do look cool. If you upgrade to P4 you get everything that all levels offer except the cool badges. So with that in mind I decided I want to collect the badges and upgraded to P2. I have enough for P3 in the bank but want to collect more interest on it before upgrading again but it will happen in the next couple days. Besides, I enjoy it here and plan to stay in this thread well beyond reaching P4. Sorry to say you all are stuck with me....

If only, that's due to a well balanced diet, plenty of water, 1000mg of vitamin C + others a day and an aggressive regiment at the slightest sign of a sniffle.
