Everyone I know intentionally avoids shopping on Black Friday. Another day that was really horrible was Xmas Eve. You wouldn't believe how many people wait until the absolute last minute - including walking in seconds before the place closes. Or at least then they did.

I do believe you. In my younger days I worked for a bit in a supermaket, being the last one in, I had to work I had work on Christmas day.
We had to endure the rants of a couple of customers because they come in at closing time (noon) and we would not let them in.

On a different note. I'm dumb. Where is the "Title" option in our profile settings? I browsed every single tab (I think), but I'm at a loss.

Hi guys! My Thanksgiving was on Black Friday this year, due to family scheduling.

Did a little bit of a backread, and will go back for more after a couple tasks are done. Looking forward to a good lurk.

Back in those days I had a system that worked really well for myself to handle Xmas shopping. The weekend before Xmas I would go out shopping but first I would stop at bar and have three Irish coffees (1 cup of coffee laced with a shot of Baileys Irish cream and another shot of Irish Whiskey) I would only then venture out to the stores. I found it both made me more generous AND made me accept all the holiday crowds and hassle without a care in the world. Now I just take a couple edibles and shop on line - same result but not as much a sense of accomplishment.

Those systems seem like mastery to me. I've only made Irish coffee with coffee and whiskey though. Never had any baileys on the shelf. Maybe I should pick some up. Don't have the edibles but sounds like the right way to shop online. Truly great insight into what it takes to stay sane while shopping for Xmas.

I'm on the autism spectrum with pretty strong social phobia and crowds really bother me. I'd have to be drunk to the point I couldn't walk straight.

Taking a quick break, going to play a bit of Satisfactory, prep for Ficsmas needed !
