Missed this in a backread. My rage at spotify is related to their treatment of the artists. They are paid peanuts when they are paid.
If you think of it that's the perfect business model. Low effort, maximum gain. No talent CEO lives off the art of talented people by setting up a crappy, low quality, streaming service.

I hate some corpos as well but I also hate some artist specially in music industry so I say let them fight.

Lets not forget how outrageous the pricing is to see concerts, live events. You say support the artist, I have no problem there. But I'm not paying $200 to see a concert for a band who stopped being relevant w0 years ago.

The price is based on the demand, how big the artist is or was.
There's also the thing where less and less people go to concerts so prices rise up to keep the same profitability.

When you price goods constantly out of reach of the market, people will find other means.

The problem with this is, a good will always be considered out of reach to someone. That's what i meant by piracy always exists.

Well for the consumer is a clear opportunity. With a modest fee they got an immense catalog of music. The mistake was made by the record companies, IMHO. Piracy has always been there. When I was in high school for every fisical copy purchased at least 10 copies were made and exchanged that I know of. Yes, file sharing has multiplied that ratio, but musicians were still profiting from their art.

If not, I do recommend it! You play as an eldritch abomination corrupting the land - different ones to pick with different play styles. It's quite overwhelming at first, but when it starts clicking, it's really interesting.
