Hey does anyone know a good way to find out what game a Renpy savedata folder belongs to? I made a thread about this earlier but it's likely to just sink into the maelstrom of threads.

It's either /game/saves or C:/Users/(yourusername)/AppData/Roaming/Renpy/

Not sure I fully understand your question... most if not all save data folders have the name of the game on them or at least an acronym and sometimes even the version. why would you be having a hard time figuring out the game?
You can also load the savefile into save file editor and check the variables... give you a clue...

Nothing, yet. Was doing some seasoning mixes for the turkey and a couple other things for next week, got some butter softening to make a compound butter for under the skin, will be doing a batch of gumbo for pre-Thursday meals and pre-making Bisquick sausage-n-cheese balls to have around for breakfast and snacks. But none of it is cooking at present.

Note sure what your folders look like, or what VNs you're playing, but most of mine have easy to discern names. There are a few here and there that are cryptic, and if you're playing a lot of the M+ VNs, those might be more obfuscated. But, just to be clear...

If you have something similar, I'd eliminate the VNs that are obvious, and then just try to see what's left. If you have the VNs loaded, you can open them, create a new save in a slot, then see what folder updated last. There's about as much playing on CPU's integrated as there are playing on 4080+.
10% users with 1GB or less VRAM. That's a lot of players.


Build mine 8 years and 1 month ago. Started to look for an upgrade this summer, but I'm still waiting a couple months in 2025.
(could/should have upgraded from 1060 to some 3060, but as it was late enough, I was ok waiting 2 more years for a full build upgrade - also would have probably upgraded this summer if there wasnt this shit around 13th gen CPU. I'd rather wait a bit more)

Yes u did miss the dungeon aspect, and i think that's why they did shrines to give that feeling, but it wasn't the same.

Not to mention denuvo and other anticheat software often prevents you from playing on anything but windows. And it's not thats it can't, it's that they don't want to maintain it.

I normally do piece upgrades. I'll upgrade GPU one year, couple years later case, motherboard.

I'll be honest though, video upgrades really have nothing for me since the 970 era. Sure it loads faster and more crap on screen, but there has been nothing to wow me in saying I need the latest and greatest to run this.

Those are some interesting numbers. My system is 3 years old, it wasn't a top of the line, but comparatively, it actually still is. Normally you always hear the big numbers and think "dang, I wish I had that." This actually makes me think, "Dang, I'm pretty lucky."



I know how you feel. I had a pack of RAM, probably from 2022, finally gave it to my son for his computer. I also have 2 mining rigs (used to mine ETH), that I shut down to clean, after the switch from POW. Yeah, never cleaned them. They just have dust all over them. I was diagnosed less than 2 years ago, went 50 years thinking ... well ... suffice it to say, very poor self image. Now that I'm diagnosed, well, the blame has shifted some, but I still feel broken.

I have several computers of varying price points because of my job, have like 5 I actually use though 2 laptops 3 desktops.
