I know what you mean, I was out for almost 2 years and of the games I've re-checked up on, only a couple have been completed.. More of them have been abandoned and fortunately the rest are still being updated.

Battle Sisters and Orkz are my favorites in WH40K. The Dawn of War Soulstorm is up there on favorite games. I have a twenty year old army that's been in a box for over 15 years because I don't have time to play anymore.

Space marine 2 is what got me into it, I plan on playing dawn of war 1 today for the first time 2 I'll get to at some point

If you like Summer's Gone you will probably also like Where It All Began by the same Dev. Great renders etc but a slow burn. Worth a try though!
