I've never understood anything calling itself a "bank" to require someone to ACTIVELY collect interest at some pre-designated point in time.

I'm still confused why the "collect interest" option only appears once in a five-month-timespan..?

My guess is that you were depositing before checking for the button, which resets the timer and takes the button away.

The traditional Hero's Journey! But, exactly, you had to have a conflict, otherwise, it's not appealing.

There's a reason the Hero's Journey has been a staple structure since stories were recorded, in pretty much every culture. That's not to say it's the only way you can structure a good children's story, I just happened to pick examples of it. My main point is that even kids aren't entertained when the main character starts out as the most perfect and powerful person ever and never changes or has an arc.
