Too bad Star wars isn't entering public domain in our lifetime haha
I can see Disney trying to get copyright law changed so that they never lose the rights

frogs start the movie with a guy kayaking in a swamp for 10 min looking at garbage to set up why the animals are going to kill us.

They already have
That's how they kept steamboat willie for so long

They've made several attempts - one of them was actually called the 'Mickey Mouse Protection Act'
Still so sad they can't make new hit characters.
Copyright was there to protect peoples work not make it a money making tool for corporations.
Then again money has big influence on such laws.

Have just seen a news report about some police departments in the US trialing the use of AI for the writing of incident reports and asking questions about how such reports will hold up in the courtroom during trial. Or even the appellant side of things after a conviction.

Winnie the Pooh also went public domain

Lawyers are already having AI write briefs they submit to the court citing cases that don't exist, I'm sure this will work well. AI could be useful as a check after the report is written, to see if it spits back any clarifying questions the officer could add answers to in the report.
