Common-law marriage, also known as non-ceremonial marriage, sui iuris marriage, informal marriage, de facto marriage, or marriage by habit and repute, is a marriage that results from the parties' agreement to consider themselves married and subsequent cohabitation, rather than through a statutorily defined process.I don't even know what is common-law marriage. What's the differente from a regular marriage?![]()
So basically the parties have been cohabiting and think of themselves as married but it may or may not (usually not) be recognised in law depending on jurisdiction.
Beware all those who claim that they are completely sane. There is no such thing, we all have our quirks and our ability to recognise that not only are we not normal but no-one else is either is what keeps us grounded. The 'completely sane' are just a hairs breadth from snapping completely.I have never. Truthfully.
