That's fair. It's just not for me. I've said before, I'm at an all time low of consuming stories (books, tv, movies) because of that.
There's an ex-employee of The Escapist, Daren Mooney, that said people like me are "continuity fetishists". I'm ok with being called that. A consistent world is a sane world, at least for me.
But you're totally right. I've taken writing classes. Everything lives or dies at the altar of the story. I just no longer pray there. In a story, say, the hero has an unbreakable sword.
Of course, in Act 2, the sword has to break because, in Act 3 "What is the measure of the hero without their [item/power/etc...]?" (That's when I tap out)
I prefer Diablo I (or was it II?) when, when I put the gem to make the sword unbreakable... and it became... you know... unbreakable.
But, I'm slowly making my peace that I'm in the minority for this and that stories are no longer for me.
Yes I realise. I was just tease him about it. Personally, If people want read back through all posts then good for them. I find hard to get past page 1 or 2 at best before I get lost but good for those who go really far. I take Underlord statements as humor and nothing serious lol. Thats why poor fellow is underlord. maybe offer a carrot to him. it usually helps sometimes lol
Well, I think I met my quota of amphetamines-fueled schizophrenics ramblings and insanity-sprinkled nonsense here.
I'm gonna drop now, enjoy your Sunday guys !
I'm an old fart that's had a lot of time and opportunity to experience things. Also spent many years wining and dining clients before ending up as a hospitality exec. I ate on expense account with clients, and for a huge discount or for free when I worked for restaurant companies. I've been blessed to try many things, learned to cook quite a few of them and, at one point when I was laid up for a few weeks after I broke a leg, watched a ton of "Food Network".
While I do like a lot of the "finer things", I'm also happy to grill a greasy burger, chop bacon into box mac-n-cheese, or do an easy quesadilla on the Foreman.
I heard that Proton was giving e-mail logs out. (on Twitter and about 2 days after I signed up here with a new proton mail {D'OH})
It just seems fucking retarded to self-censor on a site with this kind of content. TWAT!
Interesting, I'm from a small city, so I got used to measure distance like this. I will have a talk with some friends from bigger cities to compare how we say the distances here in my country. But I try to avoid given a distance, maybe say that "it's three blocks away", something like that.
Interesting, I suppose that would make sense.
When I told a buddy from New York City he was only a couple blocks away, he laughed. NYC blocks are much, much larger than small town blocks.
for food, I'm american so my favorite food probably isn't all that interesting but I will say that, general tso's chicken from the walmart deli is probably my favorite food ever lol, as far as something weird, I'm not the most diverse food dude, but probably boiled peanuts, every now and then I really want some with a glass coke, they are kinda gross though imo
General Tso's chicken is amazing. Add a little chili crunch for me.
I'll pass on the peanuts and Coke, though. I don't really like straight Coke though.
I've never had any chinese food that wasn't noodles, and here we also have lots of chinese places. Hahaha
General Tso's the one that have an sweet sauce? I'd definitely like it!
It's sweet and a little spicy. Great flavor IMO.
FYI, if it's a genuine Chinese place, they probably won't have it.
It's a US creation. It was apparently created in New York in the 70s.
There was a Chinese restaurant here, run by Chinese immigrants, and they did not make it.
The place around me has a little table sign so the non-crab/prime payers can't get in on the good stuff.
(normal prices is $16.95, crab & prime rib $42.95) They literally have giant buckets full, though.
Then, at 8 pm, you get one last chance for crab or prime rib, and anybody can buy a to go box if anything is left.
Oooh, I have not had a good Prime Rib in years...
Hell, I just wish Arby's would bring back the pork belly sandwich- nice thick, fat, slabs of essentially 1" bacon on a bun...
I was just gonna say: the guy in Thailand actually got arrested for vandalizing a bunch of cars and stealing road signs.
He plead guilty, but said the judges told him if he plead guilty he would not be caned.
I meant the 2 Americans- they either littered or spit (maybe gum) on the ground and, By LAW, that's a caning offense over there. And they were trying to hide behind the fact that they were American. Sorry, no "Diplomatic Immunity" for you.
One time I asked more than 10 times if the printer was connected to the network, things like "Is there a blue cable connected on the back on the printer?", "That cable is connected to the telephone hole on the wall?" and such, all of which they said "Yes".
Almost 1 hour later they said they noticed there wasn't actually any cable like the one I was asking for, and after connecting it worked again... You fuckers, why answer "Yes" without even checking it?????
Some users are so stupid.
I used to work for a company that did upgrade/repair/support for various gas stations.
The admin password for their system for the managers was "GasChange".
This one manager calls me at 1:00 AM to ask me where the "R" is on the keyboard, because the he can't get into his system...
Figue that one out. ("R" omitted deliberately.)
"Wanted Raccoon"? Is it on steam or is it for the consoles too?
It looks better than that stupid "Cat" game that everyone was losing their minds over- what a piece of dog-shit that game was...
It was linear with sandboxed levels- and you couldn't go back to them as you progressed...
And ALL those YT videos- I made the cat meow and my cat looked at the TV... Yeah, cats look when they hear sounds- it's kind of a predatory/survival instinct. Your fuckin' cat's not special. Unless it's some Grimalkin who just doesn't give 2 fucks.
Love to see more with the Ghosts and the Werewolves.
Not a fan of "Xeno-muffs" or "Pussymbiotes" (the letters are right there)?
Are you sure this is the same Proton VPN? They pretty publicly advertise that they keep no logs, and when ordered to produce them, they've stated that they can't comply, because they don't keep logs. They've even contracted with a third party to audit that, because people are naturally wary about this. I'm not saying that it's possible that they are bad, but all indication I've heard says otherwise. Now, I don't know about the other Proton services. I only recalled this info as I was shopping around for a VPN, and am not an expert by any means.
I also like Private Internet Access, who also publishes that they don't keep logs, has audits, and publicizes the audits.
I went after it and the print he posted was about ProtonMail, but he did said that he also have ProtonVPN info, but cannot share, and said that in some months he will post proof, using his own account that he just created, and so, since it'll be his data, he is free to share.

I don't use it so I don't even care, but like I said, this guy is kinda big here and only works on cyber cases.
yeah thats how the rest of my friends are, they all just get noodles, but yes the general tso's chicken is sweet and little bit spicy but not nearly spicy enough, I add a ton of habanero, scorpion and sriracha sauce to it, I love the burn lol
a friend of mine told me about a cold coke and boiled peanuts and I thought it was disgusting but I will try almost any food, I will say its not bad, certainly not something I have often but every now and then
I guess its night here too lol, I just have the worst sleep schedule and I just woke up, but good evening to you

Fried chicken is very good, can't really go wrong with it. With a sweet sauce? Even better!
A lot of "foreign" food must be actually local. But if it's good I don't mind.
A lot of things happened, you just need to do a backreading to find it out Pay attention to people like @Safetydummy @matthiacallus @PsychicJohn @TheDude14 @jsmith666 @Amman @Slumdum @kikomascado and so, so many other backreader-heroes to name here!
well, I would rather the fairies do that kind of things. Those small sex addicts with wings will make more pleasure than you can realise. Better than knobs and buttons lol
