Except, having been in Canada, it's weirder than that, imo

When you ask "How far is it to City X". The answer is "Oh, about an hour away."
"How far to the grocery store?" "Not far. About 5 minutes that way."

In practical terms... Canadians measure distances... in minutes and hours...
Any other countries do that? (honestly asking)

People in Britain and Ireland do this, so it could be an English language thing

Remember that The next WoW Expansion late releases tomorrow! So update those addons!

Haven't played WoW since Burning Crusade, far too addictive

WHAT movie is this from? Is this the same people that did "Winnie the Pooh" and "Pinocchio"?

No idea, just a gif I found, but it does look familiar

I mean I trust replying more since it is more stable and I can predict it with math and give a probability of how much I will be in a week or so.

[kurgan]

well.... I mean... if you want to be particular lol, but this actually is old system. Its not so much used these days. so, yes, most rooms still measure in metric. Not as much these days, but you are right about most Sake measurement. Many company still use the traditional measurement but only change this for export. yes, I agree, the old system is actually very good. Just metric is much more accurate.

I was mostly joking, but I think the tatami measurement is a common practice and the house selling Japanese websites use to add the tatami distribution on the house plan. I don't know, but I have the feeling in a ryokan rooms will have also that measurement. The use of gou is still there, even if the bottle is labeled in metric system. You will notice sake bottles measure 720 ml that's a weird number in Western.
I'm not sure of the word is accurate to describe a metric system. Once the measure is fixed, If we decide that 10 gou = 1 Shou = 1.8 liters, that will have the same degree of precision. It's just a convention.

cheers everyone

Best horror anime I watched!

Points for each post is better and stable no need to relay on backreaders.
Bank will beat what ever backreaders give. Backreaders coin contribution per 24 hours is heavily capped.
Bank interest is uncapped as long as you put something in it will keep growing.
Honestly Backreaders are more or less not even that a big deal in LC coin generation at most they can make may 1-2k a day help.
But my bank easily gives me 19k.

Sleaze is just best react and they hate on it since it is the most used after like.
Nothing wrong with having a smile, they just misinterpret it intentionally because their favorite react is not as popular as it.

Nice to see that you still spout complete nonsense

You are not wrong, but it depends where you are also. I think it is all still very much in use but the realestate who sold me my home used metric, but to be honest everyone knows both so to me it is fine either way, just some younger gen seem to be forget about the older system

Yes, I realise you was joke lol.

Best horror anime I watched!

Yes, certainly is good, and I like this vampire anime as much as Krul Tepes. They both are very nicely created.

You can now talk about permit and hole nonsense

That's a freak commercial series, go to youtube and type "tubi rabbit hole"

Backreaders are awesome! and honestly the backbone of this community. Take whatever he posts with a grain of salt. He tries to live up to his troll face profile picture

oh shit, did I just get recruited into a sleaze cult, because I instantly joined with no question haha

and I was going to read through it all, I went back to page 1 lol

I would maybe wait with that until at least P1, then you won't have a cooldown on reactions.

Hey mate, if you hover on the like button that will open the other reacts

And don't listen to the idiot pushing it's sleaze. It has it's place but if someone posts something
very funny or you're reacting to someone's heart felt post or creative images it's actually very
bogus and insulting

The middle finger is below the sleaze...

I'm gonna head off. See you all later!

Bye algeo have fun, see you, when you're here again!

Haven't played WoW since Burning Crusade, far too addictive

Good afternon to Amman!
Good to see you again!
Yeah, early on WoW was far too addictive for me too.
But now, I don't feel like that, I sometimes take break for multiple months.

[kurgan]

some younger gen seem to be forget about the older system

That's a shame. When I learned about the tatami measurement in my visit to Japan it surprised me how much easy was to visualize the proportions of a room than the metric system that I was so used. Tatami are more intuitive than meters.

Do you mean 終わりのセラフ? I will add it to my watching list! Summer season will end soon and I will need new anime to watch!

[DoverDad]

got to go dinner waiting bye guys

well... Thats just fun. Why not torture and rape anyone you like?... ok, so I'm kidding. That actually was evil, just like Salem Witch trials and the wares of Europe between the Catholic and Protestant and so on.. There is more I can tell but to be honest, im sure you already know. Interesting fun fact. Turn the word evil around and it means live. One seems to be the Ying, the other the Yang if this make sense.

Yeah. It's very interesting that, through the ages, those who presented themselves as righteous and slayers of evil were actually committing the most evil acts possible....
