I'm just a little after the basics, but not much further. I'm close to reach the 1000 kanji and 2000-3000 words. But still the grammar is pretty hard, and to understand the real meaning of a sentence it's not an easy task unless, of course, is broken Japanese like the one in the text books for foreigners. Regarding the variations and the other languages in Japan, yeah, it's far beyond my current goal, but it interested me just to know the language plurality of the country being myself a speaker of a not so large language.

I also started learning it, but didnt get really far sadly. Got like 1 hour everyday for 2 weeks. so not very var. Lost my interest because its so hard. Should start again...

It won't admit it, but it loves Bonky. Yeah we've had a rough and rocky relationship but it gets it. Now if you really want to trigger a metallic meltdown.....add a " Spoon" full of love for it

That's my second or third try learning the language. What I'm doing is trying to learn as much vocabulary as I can with memory cards, watching anime with subs, reading non translated hentai, writing and watching Japanese native youtubers. There is a lot of good material available. Find something funny that motivates you and keep trying.

I would post an image, but I'm at work, so...

I don't deal with them technically. I'm just the shipper. But if something happens during shipping I hear about it. But they are complaining about some plastic screw tops breaking ( legit complaint ) and that for a 8 part order 2 were packaged internally this way and 6 were packaged internally another way ( BS complaint ) The difference being a 1/4 piece a foam vs some bubble wrap. I've though about it really have. I started here in Oct and paid 10 dollars more then my last job and all i have to do is ship. Last job I was the warehouse lead, shipper, warehouse manager, sales person, customer service even tho i was just the warehouse lead and responsible for shipping. Plus after only being here for a few months they did raises and they gave me a raise of another 5 dollars

I worked once in IT Support. My job was only to receive the calls, open the tickets, categorize the problem and send to the respective team. But since most of the respective teams were incompetents and we were the ones that talked to clients, they usually just cursed at us because the problem wasn't solved on time and whatever, even if it wasn't our fault...

I thin that besides the kanji, that I think even japanese people sometimes find difficult, it's not actually that hard. But I don't know japanese, so I may be talking shit.

Using a VPN can get around those limits by changing the IP when you hit the limit, refresh and continuing the download. So long as that IP hasn't exceeded the limit too. But I just cycle through until I get one that allows me to continue.

Unless you have a static IP assigned by the internet provider that can be done also restarting the router.

Ah okay, yeah i think i'm gonna start again in a bit. First gotta switch jobs, but after that i'll start again. Watching with subs already, but not learning much that way. I think you need different sources. Like reading, hearing and so on.

Watching with subs already, but not learning much that way.

What first with English subs and then, with Japanese subs. That helps a lot. Because you already know the story and then your brain is forced to watch it only in Japanese. I learned English in that way, just watching movies with English subs. The only problem is hard to find pirated anime with subs in Japanese :_(

So far it never happened to me, but I'm not all the day restarting my router or downloading stuff. It's not that my day has 48 hours. My favorite download server is GoFile, it's the first option that I always try, it doesn't have limits that I have noticed and almost never failed to me, but a very few times when they have high traffic.
