Yeah, its one of those old floppy. You have the monitor built into the desktop pc and the floppy goes in the middle to run OS, so yep, its the 5 1/4 disk. he have the first floppy disk collection that was available on market so its old but I am not sure on pc stuff. Im just lil old vampy wampy with not much brain for pc tech.
He have Sega megadrive 1 snez 2, Nintendo 64, Game and watch from early 1980s to the later, first X box sony playstation 1, 2, 3 and 4 and so much, and his games are like too many to mention and most older are even hard to find. He collect them all and most was either cheap or some was broken and he fixed them with parts from other console that was not good. I used to play on some his consoles and crash bandecute games was my most loved. lol
Naa the old sony laptop is too old and not worth to waste time or money to replace the MB. The graphic card is built in and I killed it with too much gaming lol. Just good for parts really and sits in a huge collection of pc/laptop/gaming junk but maybe one day the monitor or ram or some part can be used, or... his wife will get to the room and put it in the bin skip haha..
I upgraded from laptop to pc. ok, so, my pc is consider old and basic level gamer these days but it is much better, epsecially for modern gaming and the 3D render I use. Laptop will certainly not cope so much unless it is one of those supa nova cool high end gaming laptop. Yes its a pain in the ass to migrate all things to new macine. it took me a few days of annoying boring tansfer to complete but well worth it IMO. Then again, depends how much data (renpy) stuff you have, but here is the one of many many benefit oif pc. Large screen for much better display.. Plus can store much more and have dedicated and upgradible GPU.. Ok, that was more than one but the list is much more. Laptop are very neat and portable but for gaming ect... Cant beat a pc. Just its much better and upgradable bla bla bla
with modern DNA and expert tech I bet in 99% of murder with hammer cases they will find something to connect to the rest of evidence. And on the seconf half its not about if she is white or black, is about the fact that the character has originally designed to be in a certain way, taking into consideration the time, place and context of the era on which the original book was written, and to change it to just please a certain group and not even trying to add something to the overal story just doesn't sit well with me.

Honestly, I think the Ariel outcry about her being played by a black actress was mostly just plain racism... ariels "race" or color was never really part of the character... she is a damn mermaid... that is not like letting a black man play Napoleon or something. I'm a huge believer that almost anything can be a good story, it's just about who tells it.
Showing an aged up character CAN be interesting - but only if it's written well.
New stories in the same setting CAN be interesting - but only if it's written well.

Stories are fiction. EVERYTHING has potential to be good. But not EVERYONE can write a good story. You could take the most bland thing in the world, a story about an old vacuum cleaner left in a basement, and that COULD become a masterpiece with the right writer...
That said, I think there is more to this than simple writing. It's Studio Decisions more than anything. A good writer will pick the characters for their story. Whereas the Studio picks the Characters/Franchise first and tells the writer what they want. Not to mention when they hire bad writers who don't care about the property.

Dude, it's a noble thing and all, but trust me after a bit- it's just too much. I tried to do that with the 7K thread and I got to page 200 before tapping out. I started just picking random numbers and would do 10-15 pages that way. All in all- I think I did about 400-500 pages total back-reading.
I'mma keep going, but not doing 100+ pages in a day again that was too much. Today I'll try @bonk 's suggestion of the muti-tab and alternate between the old and new. We'll see how that goes
