well, for me, I don't miss 99% thinks I sold or give away. Just moved on. I have more adult toys now ......... lol. but honestly, yes there are few things I love and will pass to my next gen kid/s and this is mostly from family history and few old things i like but most I am consider just to sell or donate to charity or something. Just dont care any more. I do now just feel like you say, it is just stuff. We live, we do whatever and then died, so, most is now to me pointless junk and I don't want to be burry in a tomb full of things.

Yeah, i agree. Especially here. it is a problem because most parent have full time job, work many hours and sadly the kid is basically grows up with limit mom dad time. It sucks at times for the kids.

Yes, and I had to pay $600 for them to fix it and take off the data from one HDD. It was important and for work in those days so no choice. Now I use memory stick flash drive

Although, after doing a little bit of research, even flashdrives and SSD HD's will eventually become read-only. They'll only take so many "writes and rewrites" before the drive is completely unable to actually accept data. That kinda sucks.

IDE stood for "Integrated Drive Electronics"- it was how you connected HDs, Disk drives, and CD-Roms to the motherboard *cough* back in the "ancient times"...
You're just lucky you didn't have to deal with IRQ conflicts and DMA errors. WE had to deal with all that crap- so some of you don't have to... "Plug and Play" and "USB" were probably the 2 best things to happen to computers (back in the Dark Ages)...
