I also understand they were "Agents", perhaps of a Government-type organization?

Have you ever seen Jackass, the series? Just I remembered this show, and it had lot of dumb and funny parts. Sadly, no dungeons

yeah common issue with google, if that happens just right click on it and open in another tab, works always.
sometimes stuff get removed from original place or is tons of them and have to search for it.

Oh yes, yes indeed. I have a friend that broke his nose, jaw, cheek and eye socket trying some shopping cart stupidity.

If Johnny Knoxville could have found a dungeon, he would have someone tortured for the laughs.

What's up guys? I saw the original thread is back again so... Which one is everyone using now?

@thatoneuser you around?
Sorry man, past couple of weeks have been absolute hell at work, I didn't even check LC.
But yeah, I went through BMSS in order (2012-2023), and it was a strange but nice trip. I wrote on notepad as I went through them LOL, so you get to read my commentary. Ignore anything that doesn't make sense.
I looked up BMMS, and the comments around the band are edgy as fuck, which is really funny, considering the band seems to be doing it for shits and giggles. I think the name basically means "we are underground, we're staying that way and we like it".

The first two, SoGP/Panzerwitch are just way too low recording quality for my taste. Like listening to a live concert from outside the pub.
After that, The Black Abyss hits like a truck. Such a good EP; good composition, better audio quality, fun, and it has a grimy feeling to the music that makes it sound cool as hell. I was hooked on the organ, it sounds like they intentionally mixed it to sound like the backbone of the tracks. Growls sound sick.
Hidden in Plain Sight let me down a little bit. The mix is just too dirty. These tracks would really benefit from a better use of panning, dynamics, a better reverb... I don't know, it almost made me think they were intentionally going for this church hall sound, which is absolutely possible considering the memelords they seem to be. The first track is an absolute banger.
The Owls of Winter/Talisman is really good, it kinda made me feel I was out in the woods (like those tall pine woods) singing out loud with no care whatsoever. The best part is how the soloing guitar is mixed, the delay tickles the right ear while you hear that beautiful melody lol. I also dig the chesty voice approach in this one, absolutely compliments the theme. Up to this point I'm still unsure about how I feel about the growls (apart from The Black Abyss) and harsh vocals, especially in the second track of this particular EP.
Kaleidoscope Dreams; man do they love using that church hall reverb. Crusader is the (Iron Maiden) track that suffers the most from reverb oversaturation... It kills every detail. "Follow You" also the same, great tracks in this one washed out by that reverb. I wanted to enjoy this one more.
Spectral Ecstasy is pretty cool, I liked it. The harsh vocals are cool in this one too. Overall not much to say, it's just a nice album to listen to, really groovy and upbeat.
Now... I don't know what your definition of "pop" is, but Rainbow Nights is definitely not pop LOL. It definitely sounds influenced by Yes and all those 70s psycho-prog-rock and a bit of disco/Bowie, but it sounds fresh, like another take at a modern indie sound. I'm glad the church reverb is mostly gone by this point, it's only present on the growls, which I don't like. I also really like they kept the organ through all of this journey, it sounds familiar at this point. I wish The Black Abyss had this level of production, though it's style kinda rocks.
Burning Bridges is similar to the previous one in terms of influences, but way more electro, and it also goes straight into style mixing on different tracks and sections of the tracks. Still not pop though lol, at all. It's a good album, I wish more bands did this genre-mixing rock driven music while keeping their signature sounds (e.g. growls and organ). I'm glad the drums sound big on this one, I was craving that. Also, it's filled with harmonized guitar licks and riffs, very cool, very melodic. Very refreshing to have more instruments in this, like the sax. I noticed they started to enjoy harmonized vocal melodies, maybe on the last record too.

Overall a great listen, I appreciate the recommendation. Now I want them to go back to The Black Abyss with the level of production of their latest record, that would be peak circular musical progression.
Well yeah.. me calling it pop obviously doesn't mean it's radio friendly micheal jackson (Let Go though..?) but more influenced. I didn't want to try and spell out every detail what makes this band so special and why all those copycats in it's wake fail miserably. Fun fact on Talisman, suposedly absence of drums was due their old drummer commiting sudoku but I don't know it's internet shit but could be a thing I suppose. Hidden in plain sight (title track) is fucking sweet though, but I agree most of the early stuff lacks.. something. Unreleased stuff aside (crystal eyes is great, lyrical good and great music). I kinda like the insane reverb (which comes from production honestly, Urfaust has this too where on some early records the recording just dies). Follow you is great and I kinda agree that if lets say it was closer to Spectral it would've been for the better but alas. These did orginally all come on tape until like rainbow nights so it was never intended to be crispy quality. There are some remasters online on youtube by a guy but honestly he kills what makes most of those songs (like eclipse) special, the chaotic (necro) production is also something that can add a lot to a record making it not boring giving it more of a unique feeling. Hope you enjoyed it though, great fucking band. Lyrics are pretty solid aswell from maybe lets say In the circle haha, even though honestly - in the context of just singing about it's nothing too major. I hope they will make another album in the first place seeing with all the bullshit happening and apparently recently one of the band members getting doxed / death threats (also saw something about another guy from Tasmania being "accused" of being a member because he wore a shirt of them lol) it's just the good ol' nutty bullshit. Lyrics especially on burning bridges keep hinting to old material but then again, one look at the psyhical copy for 2 seconds and you can see the lets call it "provocative" symbolism is still right in your face. I had a fun convo the other day wearing one of their newer band shirts, guy knows I listen to extreme metal and thought it would maybe be an easy pill to swallow and he was curious. He liked it as far as he told me. Hail the underground though, gems like these is what makes it worth digging through countless dog shit albums. Quite impressive how good their discography actually is, production aside the song writing (for the most part) has always been super solid. And from their first EP as always: "Spread the black ash in the pit - Hail Satan! HAIL!! HAIL!!". Was fun dropping this stuff on someone, not often especially out and about do you find people even open to listen to something which throws that many bad crosses at your face. Try that Nokturnal Mortum album if you want some quicker heavier shit, chaotic production (remaster is shit honestly not worth compromising) but some great parts.

Hello everyone! Hope you got a good weekend coming up! ❤️

They make chocolate covered cockroaches, too.
Cockroaches are one of the things I don't want to try.
Worms? Sure. Ants? Go ahead. Spiders? Please do. Grasshoppers. Seems good. But cockroaches? Hell no. Always hated those things.

And I forgot to say on the other post, but tomato is indeed from South America. I think there were tomatoes or at least some relative plant, but it was poisonous or something like that. The use of tomato in italian cuisine is not thaaaaat old.
