Enjoy your seizures NERD!
I like to try new things, too. So much so that I checked the grocery store to see if they had kiwis. (They didn't, told me to check next week)I'm really proud of our culinary abominations. Some of them are surprisingly good. Here we usually say that foreigners make some recipe and Brazil improve it. Hahaha
Interesting. I'll try some that way just for the sake of it. Don't knock it until you've tried it, after all.
I've had orange and lemon zest, that doesn't mean I'm going to eat a spoonful though! It's a spice!Orange and Lemon skins are really good zested or candied (dehydrated and caramelized), though.

Always be on the lookout for the eccentrically colored ones. Especially outside your home.I also understand they were "Agents", perhaps of a Government-type organization?![]()

Oh yes, yes indeed. I have a friend that broke his nose, jaw, cheek and eye socket trying some shopping cart stupidity.Have you ever seen Jackass, the series? Just I remembered this show, and it had lot of dumb and funny parts. Sadly, no dungeons
What's up guys? I saw the original thread is back again so... Which one is everyone using now?
@thatoneuser you around?
Sorry man, past couple of weeks have been absolute hell at work, I didn't even check LC.
But yeah, I went through BMSS in order (2012-2023), and it was a strange but nice trip. I wrote on notepad as I went through them LOL, so you get to read my commentary. Ignore anything that doesn't make sense.
I looked up BMMS, and the comments around the band are edgy as fuck, which is really funny, considering the band seems to be doing it for shits and giggles. I think the name basically means "we are underground, we're staying that way and we like it".
The first two, SoGP/Panzerwitch are just way too low recording quality for my taste. Like listening to a live concert from outside the pub.
After that, The Black Abyss hits like a truck. Such a good EP; good composition, better audio quality, fun, and it has a grimy feeling to the music that makes it sound cool as hell. I was hooked on the organ, it sounds like they intentionally mixed it to sound like the backbone of the tracks. Growls sound sick.
Hidden in Plain Sight let me down a little bit. The mix is just too dirty. These tracks would really benefit from a better use of panning, dynamics, a better reverb... I don't know, it almost made me think they were intentionally going for this church hall sound, which is absolutely possible considering the memelords they seem to be. The first track is an absolute banger.
The Owls of Winter/Talisman is really good, it kinda made me feel I was out in the woods (like those tall pine woods) singing out loud with no care whatsoever. The best part is how the soloing guitar is mixed, the delay tickles the right ear while you hear that beautiful melody lol. I also dig the chesty voice approach in this one, absolutely compliments the theme. Up to this point I'm still unsure about how I feel about the growls (apart from The Black Abyss) and harsh vocals, especially in the second track of this particular EP.
Kaleidoscope Dreams; man do they love using that church hall reverb. Crusader is the (Iron Maiden) track that suffers the most from reverb oversaturation... It kills every detail. "Follow You" also the same, great tracks in this one washed out by that reverb. I wanted to enjoy this one more.
Spectral Ecstasy is pretty cool, I liked it. The harsh vocals are cool in this one too. Overall not much to say, it's just a nice album to listen to, really groovy and upbeat.
Now... I don't know what your definition of "pop" is, but Rainbow Nights is definitely not pop LOL. It definitely sounds influenced by Yes and all those 70s psycho-prog-rock and a bit of disco/Bowie, but it sounds fresh, like another take at a modern indie sound. I'm glad the church reverb is mostly gone by this point, it's only present on the growls, which I don't like. I also really like they kept the organ through all of this journey, it sounds familiar at this point. I wish The Black Abyss had this level of production, though it's style kinda rocks.
Burning Bridges is similar to the previous one in terms of influences, but way more electro, and it also goes straight into style mixing on different tracks and sections of the tracks. Still not pop though lol, at all. It's a good album, I wish more bands did this genre-mixing rock driven music while keeping their signature sounds (e.g. growls and organ). I'm glad the drums sound big on this one, I was craving that. Also, it's filled with harmonized guitar licks and riffs, very cool, very melodic. Very refreshing to have more instruments in this, like the sax. I noticed they started to enjoy harmonized vocal melodies, maybe on the last record too.
Overall a great listen, I appreciate the recommendation. Now I want them to go back to The Black Abyss with the level of production of their latest record, that would be peak circular musical progression.
haha, I remember some friends decided it will be fun to go one male inside the trash bin and they put it on it side and add wheels then pushed it down the hill. he crashed into bushes and a ditch full of water. I laughed so much i cried, but a shopping trolley. Now this will be something wanting to hurt someone. Those trolley are human haters for sure lol. I heard so many people got hurt from trolley pranks, but still, people keeps to do it lol.TIGHT tights!
