Oh, I didn't see someone had talked about Resident Evil, one of my favorite series ever.

Spoiler: More insight of the games, by me

The series can be divided into some "sub-series", or I don't know how to call it.
Resident Evil, Resident Evil 2. Resident Evil 3, Resident Evil Code: Veronica, Resident Evil (Remake) and Resident Evil 0 all play similarly, focused on the survival in third person with fixed cameras.
Resident Evil 4, Resident Evil 5 and Resident Evil 6 are more focused on action, you have to aim manually and the camera in in your shoulder.
Resident Evil Revelations, plays like the previous ones, but is divided in episoed and has much more survival elements (I didn't play Revelations 2, so I don't know about that).
Resisent Evil 7 and Resident Evil 8 I also don't play much, but they're in first person and seems very horror-like.
Resident Evil 2 (Remake), Resident Evil 3 (Remake) and Resident Evil 4 (Remake) have gameplay similar as that of the original Resident Evil 4, but I think way more survivor elements.

I think you could play the remake of the original. It's my favorite in the series by far, and I think it's very beautiful still.
I didn't like the changes they did to the series, and despite them all (or almost all) being good games, I don't feel that same vibe as the first ones.

yeah, it is only when I first log into LC. I then log out or turn off my internet and back on, but LC does seem to lag in this time so maybe something in the background is being an ass. Could be Microsoft try to invade with updates, or just the way the sight can be???

I was a big fan back then, I even played the Umbrella/Darkside Chronicles! But nowadays not so much. I've been wanting to play the new Resident Evil 4, though. Heard good things about it.

The Remake of 4 is extremely good, in my opion, it's on par with RE2R if not higher!
Of course it's not a 100% conversion of the story, but it does a good job.
I highly recommend it!

I liked the Resident Evil 2 remake, I still prefer the old gameplay, but it was a pretty good game nonetheless.
The Resident Evil 3, on the other hand, I already thought it didn't look that good, and when released I heard lots of bad things...
What is your favorite? Did you play both the original and the remake of the first one?

My favorite would be either original 2 or 3, depends on the time of day, and what I'm in the mood for.

You have lots of backtracking, enemies without drops, limited items, and I remember when we have to run from two of those chainsaw-like monster my heart was beating very fast. Hahaha

Welcome also to P1. Next will be P2 and 3 and then 4. Remember to check shop for discounts. This is how i managed to gain....

Also, yeah, I talked about RE and I forgot the one I seen I think it was out last year or maybe 2 years? but I love the movies and should buy the entire series, and I heard good things and not so good about some of the games. Maybe start off with the 1st? or one of latest? Honestly/ Thank you for your very cool details so, at least now I can find where to start, then collect the series, even the lest popular ones. I tend to like to try to get entire series when I like games, like in Elder scrolls ect.. Just nice to play older games and also the newer ones.

I assume RE have got no mods? Are the first player or second? I am sure one I seen maybe was first player and it looked cool. Lot of horror and zombies to kill and run from.

Regarding RE: Since the games have lots of different genres/gameplays, I suggest playing at least one of each to see how you like them.
Whenever I'm playing a new series, I usually start from the first one released or, if they have it, their remake, so I'd start from the fisrt remake. But I think the order doesn't matter. Just play it, they're good!

But also I didn't get what you meant at your last paragraph, about first player or second. I don't know the mod scene from these games, but I think they have at least visual mods (custom skins). Resident Evil 4 remake for example, has some sexy ones. Hahaha

CMIIW P2 and P3 are for Avatar, Username, Title and Postbit enhancements only.

I agree Revelations did a good job too.
What's you opinion on RE5?
I find it a good co-op game, buuuut, a decent RE game

P2 and P3 Just gives some profile customization, as far as I remember.

Yeah doing okay. Have to start decluttering the house a bit since I'll be moving in a few weeks. Also busy time at work is coming around so won't be remote working for a few weeks too. And some health stuff.
