It starts moving faster the older you get. When you're little a year is forever. Finish college and it seems 30 comes a lot faster from 22 than all of high school went. And after 30 it goes faster. After 40 more. And even more after 50. Only 52 now, but I imagine 60 is even faster - though given my health it's very unlikely I see 60.

I think it is moving faster even for those who aren't yet at the "getting older" stage. The more things that happen within a given timeframe, the faster time seems to past. And over the last 10 years, the zone has been so flooded with things happening nonstop that it's incredibly easy to lose track of time.

One reason for why when you're older they go faster - when you are 10, a year is 10% of your life. When you're 50 it's only 2%.

Basically, some were lurkers that were posting here just to farm for M+ and went back to lurking when they got it, some others were here when ATF almost fell and went back when things stabilized there, and some others left the site because the constant changes the site had the last few months (mainly the realistic AI ban).
