It was literally orange here a couple days ago but the past two days have been nice and clear. I still remember the massive Canadian fires a handful of years back. All of New England had an air quality index of 500 for like an entire week. Was commuting on my motorcycle during that period and it felt like I was in an apocalypse movie.

Well, now I am just picturing a poutine but with fire instead of gravy. Poutine flambée!

Wind is due to point back south later in the evening so a bunch of cities are going to be blanketed with smoke again soon

It was purple here this morning. Now down to red. Some places got maroon (we did about 3 years back)

I woke up with a sore throat yesterday. I'm hopeful that the rainstorm in the GTA tomorrow will clear the air quite a bit. Mind be short lived, but it will be welcome.

It is fire season, so there has been widespread fires since the beginning of July. The fires producing the city smoke plumes on the eastern side of the continent started and/or spiked around Monday I think.

Canada, contrary to popular belief, has all four season: Fall, winter, spring, and fire.

i read on the internets that they only have 2 seasons, winter & construction season LOL
