It was literally orange here a couple days ago but the past two days have been nice and clear. I still remember the massive Canadian fires a handful of years back. All of New England had an air quality index of 500 for like an entire week. Was commuting on my motorcycle during that period and it felt like I was in an apocalypse movie.

The wildfire smoke has been awful, been feeling irritated for the past few days.
Wind is due to point back south later in the evening so a bunch of cities are going to be blanketed with smoke again soon

It is fire season, so there has been widespread fires since the beginning of July. The fires producing the city smoke plumes on the eastern side of the continent started and/or spiked around Monday I think.

Can attest that this is true, live in the GTA and can barely get around some days. Currently it is snow, construction, FIRE FIRE SMOKE SMOKE, construction.
