I loved Dark Souls so much it was the first game I got 100% on in a decade, and I am not even that good at it, particularly compared to the die hards. If you can get past the initial hump of figuring out how to spec your build properly, the game opens up and becomes much more fun and intriguing.

And finding a weapon style or styles you enjoy. grinding for the balder side sword is however not very fun. But to me pretty much the best longsword in the game. Was never much for miracles in the dark souls games. i preferred dex/soul magic combo.

My biggest difficulty going back to the original dark souls (fuck the "remaster") is been spoiled with the 8 directional dodging from later installmens. and only having 4 directional dodge feels kinda off.

My oldest PC was already all separate, the desktop, the monitor, the keyboard and the mouse (with de ball inside!). It was those white ones, that got yellow as the time went by.
I only used discs for music when USB wasn't a thing yet, on those old boomboxes and car radios. The main use I had to them was pirating PlayStation, PlayStation 2, GameCube and Wii games. They were the sole reason I bought 300+ CD-R once.

I think my old pc had a CDR but it was never used so. I didn't know you can pirate ps and wii games. I thought they have inscription code. Unless those older games don't have any. So far I am aware you cant easy to pirate modern games. Not that I ever try to. I don't have console, but i have some "free" music but I only ever used my cd drive for watch movies. Nothing else because everything else is online but I used to have few cd movies' I liked. Now even my dvd player don't get used lol

Hello All.

So it's a handheld Wii, like the Sega GameGear (it looks like...). What's the boxy thing behind it- a disc drive?
You watch in another 10 years those things will be worth some money- even IF they sucked.
(Somewhere in my vast assortment of crap- I have the Sony Glasstron where if you wear these glasses it's supposed to give you the feeling of watching a really huge screen TV...tbt, all they "give" you is a migraine.)
HOW exactly was that supposed to work - wasn't the whole thing with the Wii the little hand-held thingies and interactive motion?

Um, you did isolate WHERE the water was coming from, I hope.
Problems that "fix" themselves are rarely "fixed"...
Water could create a short and that would, well, not be good. (Read: Dangerous and terrible.)

I went strength build using the claymore for DS1, never really bothered with any of the spell builds. I just paired the claymore with a good shield and would block and counter attack.

after all the emulating of that one i have done, i am inclined to agree as that one being my favorite even tho all i physically own is a gameboy color but i at least have pokemon yellow on it

The original playstation, at least in Brazil, ran pirated games on the go. PlayStation 2 (I think) and GameCube needed modchips to be soldered on it, and the Wii could be unlocked by software of hardware, both could run from discs, but the software one only by a external disc drive.
Here in Brazil, at that time, games were very, very expensive. Everyone that had a PS2 just pirated the games, because there wasn't money to buy the original games. This created a whole lot of games here, that now that they're adults can buy legitimate games. Don't ever say piracy had no upsides to the companies!

I like that one, too. I had that same color on my Game Boy Color, Game Boy Advance and Game Cube. Growing up I was a very Nintendo guy. Hahaha

but hey they most likely made more holes in your character i can make use of.

Dark Souls 1 is peak, but I think for someone not familiar with these type of games I would recommend Elden Ring, because it's easier to run away when you have trouble lol
