It was a different times for sure. Probably before the enshitfication of the Internet after the Dot com bubble bursted and no one was investing in the Internet. It was back to being purely for the love of the game. From MangaFox -R.I.P- and Early Anime/Movie sharing sites to even YT before Partner program became a thing. We even had Google circle member those? Not saying Ads did not exists, even predatory sites were not as bad as Social media we have today.

It was back to being purely for the love of the game. From MangaFox -R.I.P- and Early Anime/Movie sharing sites to even YT before Partner program became a thing. We even had Google circle member those? Not saying Ads did not exists, even predatory sites were not as bad as Social media we have today.

The internet definitely felt a little more light-hearted. Now everyone just wants fuckin money. Now that things are starting to REALLY go bad online I hope that there will be a kind of 'reset', especially as it becomes less and less appealing for people to stay on Windows. Just makes me sad. But I think we can pull through and find a way around this bullshit UGHHHHH

The day that everything on the Internet became subscribion only add to that the Online services that left us with countless apps, hardware, and even games dead the day that the service providers pulled the plug. Or best one, the Cloud solution that magically always ends up taking free features and lock them up behind pay wall and then increasing that said pay wall?

Maybe Taylor Swift was on to something when she begged time travelers to take her back to 1984 or something.

Honestly might just start grabbing all my favorite games and storing offline copies, already have a bunch of physical ones. Then I can just game out this funk and return when my fellow edgerunners have instated a new and internet with all the videos and games and hentai I could ever need

Oh man, MangaDex was my goto after years of being homeless since Manga Fox shut down. There is genuinely a different feel when reading a Manga and scrolling down for people retarded take when they agree with you. And after they got orbital striked by the publishers last year I was devastated. Too many series I can't even find out where I left them off on!

Just depends on what you need it for. For me realistically only VC. But you can create group chats to mimic text channels. Just nothing permanent IIRC.
