Yeah, my point is how people are hostile with game that don't meet their criteria. I've seen countless of female MC games that have a lot of people complaining in the replies.
Since you compared it to food, for me it's like going all the way to a vegan restaurant and telling them they sould serve meat because of what you like... (And I do like meat a fucking lot, but let people have different things!)

Kinda off-topic, but I consider myself "nerdy", and yet I've never read nor watched LotR... I did read Hobbit, but didn't like it, so I kinda didn't feel like reading more Tolkien.

I loved the Hobbit, but I was quite young when I read it, maybe 11 or so. Then I tried the LOTR but it was too much, I had to wait until my 14 yo to try it again. So do you read any other fantasy authors?

...what Slumdum considers what "buttering up" means... and what most of us do... is likely WILDLY different:

I hate games that force you to name the MC. Time and time again I had to edit a save because another character appeared and had the exact same name as me, and it made it confusing as hell.
If the game is in first person, I don't mind it that much if the MC's face isn't shown, but I do preffer third person. PoV porn never attracted me all that much.
Ideally, every game could have both options, but that would double the render time and give the devs a perfect excuse to milk people even more!

Yeah, I can agree when the game suddenly shifts direction, but sometimes the clearly states what is planned and people are still mad about it...

I was in highschool, almost 18. Maybe that's why? I've heard people say that Hobbit, unlike Tolkien's other works, are a children' book. I remember didn't liking the narrator, but not much more.
To be honest, the only time I truly read books was that same period, because I had a crush on a bookworm girl.
Aside from that, I've only read some small book from a local author. But I don't have anything against it. I've liked some fantasy shows and whatnot.

On April 1st (shouldda been a sign), a standalone single release KINETIC game called My Wife Is A Hoe That Gets Used By Everybody [Moonbox] was released. Moonbox is a dev KNOWN for Gary Stu fall-on-my-dick-at-first-sight VN. There was also a distinct lack of NTR tag.

The wife... was a hoe... as in a garden hoe... that was used... FOR GARDENING... by everyone.
Then, in giga-chad manner, the MC cucked all the bad guys, reversed the spell, got every female pregnant, was elevated to godhood or some shit... the end.
Moonbox didn't lie... but I actually didn't like it because it'll open the doors to the reverse. Just fucking make products as advertised. That's all I ask.

Ah, must be nice to just do stuff like that. After a certain age my body told me in no uncertain terms to fuck off when attempting a schedule reset

I didn't make it to the planned 31-hour mark.

Body done and it was a struggle to do anything.

But, slept for roughly 8 hours, which is rare for me to usually do. Hopefully, it resets my sleep schedule how I wanted.

I wonder now what name do you choose given most of these games barely have male presence. John, Michael, James? The name usually use is a short of an Asian name and the short form exists in English as female name, but is rarely used (I'm not aware to have seen never a fictional or real person using it). So the change a developer uses it is near zero and if he uses it I'm not gonna confuse her with me XD But to have collisions of names in RL is pretty common, in one of my student years, we had 5 girls with the same name in our class.
