So, like I said, I fail to imagine any scenario that him as Dr. Doom is a good choice...

I wonder if he wasn't already involved somehow, is what I meant. Fantastic 4 is a year away, it looks to be set in the past. Avengers 5: Doomsday is two years away (RDJ is Doom in this movie). So, going by the timeline for filming, editing, marketing and releasing Doomsday, it would seem that RDJ had to have been involved since at least last fall.
I can't be sure of that, though. Maybe they saw how Quantumania was going, then Majors (Kang) beats the shit out of his girlfriend, and they went into panic mode.

I don't know, I think they scraped a lot of things after the Majors controvery, because every movie usually connects a little to the last of the phase, which would be the Kang one. After having to remove it all I do think they went desperate and called him because RGJ as Iron Man was the pillar of the MCU.

As a non-American, non-British, I can't comment on the co-operation.

Eh, most of the ones I sold are waaaay out of my price range to buy back AND if I sold them before- why buy them again. Actually a really good book, thinking about it, was "Resurrection Man". He had a one super power, but if he died he'd come back with a different one (and not always better).
There was an issue of "Hitman" where he just kept shooting the poor batstard over and over until he came up with a superpower that he needed him to use.

I don't mind a long movie at all, actually. I think if it's going to to be 3 hours or more, I would want an intermission in the theater, but I watch everything in home, so no worries there.
What I didn't like was Justice League. Then, they added an hour to the runtime and acted like it was a completely different movie. Sure, there were new parts and new characters. But, it was the same drivel after it all the edits.

I wasn't in the room, but the rumors were that it was Leto's Joker. He decided to act like that. And being a method actor, he decided that before filming began and during the whole shoot.
He even said they edited and cut every scene he was in. The director (I think) said they removed 40 minutes from the beginning of the movie, so maybe that's where all the Joker stuff was. There was even a 'Snyder-Cut' type of online push for an extended version, and the director said it's not happening.
IMO Leto was a bad Joker and did a bad job.

I don't know. Again, Ledger's Joker is STILL the gold Standard at this point...but sooner or later someone is going to play him.
I think if Leto had an actual part in the movie- he could've done something with it. It was an interesting take on an iconic character- you need more than just 15 seconds worth of screen time... they were focused on Harley Quinn and her origin and story. Who knows?

Kevin Conroy deserved better than to have the Suicide Squad game be his last Batman.
