Migraine and headache are not the same thing. The symptom of a migraine is a headache, but a headache does not mean that it is a migraine.

It's true, and I did get diagnosed actually! I kind of had the opposite experience to your family member where I thought I was just being a baby because other people functioned just fine with a headache where mine completely destroyed me. Turns out what I had going on was a bit more extreme. It's always intense drilling pain on the same side of my head that I can do things to soothe, but only time seems to truly stop it. On an ok day like yesterday, it just hurts like hell and makes me exhausted. On a terrible day it can get so bad I come close to, or actually do vomit. Had them all my life, but I'm very thankful that it isn't as bad as when I was young....God it was like once a week back then...

I just realized that my first internet was more than 21,000 times slower than the one I have today.
Translating that into human language - today I download as much in a second as I used to in 6 hours.
And some sites continue to open for me almost as slowly as they did then.

Ah many nights spent with a small bucket of ice water and multiple cold cloths in them so I could swap them out when one stopped being cold. I'm so glad it calmed down that much for you over the years! They still hit me usually a couple of times a month, but its so much better than it used to be.

I heard this text at the doctor's office (classic migraine symptoms, left side headache, nausea, vomiting, disturbing light and noise).
As I got older, it almost passed.
1-2 times a year three-day headache, much lighter than before.
Maybe it will pass for you, too.

Migraine and headache are not the same thing. The symptom of a migraine is a headache, but a headache does not mean that it is a migraine.
It is important to diagnose the cause of the headache - the most common are stress, sleeplessness, bad water balance or a hangover.
My nephew supposedly had a migraine (symptoms similar) and it turned out that he wasn't drinking enough water. He started hydrating properly and the migraine passed.
Going to the doctor with a headache (especially for a man) seems like overkill but if you have them often it's worth it.
