Oh, don't get me started on Satisfactory!
I love that game to death!
And it started my whole love for the automation genre!
I've lost count of how many saves and playthroughs i've done in that game over the years. I reckon its because of that game that I got into city skylines and Prison Architect and all those types of games. So good!
DLC are still better than micro transactions and the like. Paradox exploit a niche, where they are really good (grand strategy), that's how they make money, no need for too much tricks. A thing we don't talk about is also the best way for a company to increase durability of a game without spending more money is to make it mod friendly.
I agree completely, I'd rather pay for expansions that add playability to the game rather than another fortnite skin

Nah paradox is on the Creamapi DLC list ever since CK2 DLCS haha. Best they can take from me if base game is on sale.
I love DLC especially now I can just copy it into my files and apply Creamapi I have original game and a copy of original files haha.
I ain't paying for your DLCs you damn paradox money grabbers. Yeah I hate micro transactions even DLCs.
Keeps releasing broken DLCs as if players buy it to beta test it so they can fix it few weeks after release.
I SAY PIRATE THE DLCS and if you want to support the devs just but the base game on discount.

Bethesda are the most experienced in this area as they just get the modders to fix game breaking bugs for them. Todd Howard is truly a genius

Another example of that is the skyrim anniversary update which was basically integrating lot of stuff created by modders to the base game.

Paradox, unlike Bethesda, is doing it in a different, less exploitative way in my opinion.

Best way to sell isn't massive marketing: it's to make good games.

They also take talented mod devs and put them on stupid games.
Never forget that they got devs for mods that got delayed or cancelled since they gave some of thes mod devs jobs to work on Fallout 76...
Happy for the modders but fucking hell why take good modders and still make bad games.

Yeah, the updates that paradox bring out change the games in fundamental ways. I think the base games are good enough, but if you expose yourself to content creators on youtube and you see them playing through new expansions, you honestly can't not try it. So I think its definitely exploitive in a way, where they expose the gameplay elements that are exclusive to the DLC's, and the psychology of not playing with it kinda forces your hand.

Man, I dont know if you ever heard of a Mod called DayZ? It was an Arma 2 mod back in the early 2010s, and it was massive. Until that mod, Arma was a MEGA niche game, no one knew about it except mil-simmers.
Anyway, Bohemia Interactive saw an opportunity to make a fucking tonne of money by hiring him to 'head' a standalone branch-off DayZ game based on the newer Arma 3 engine. It was a fucking monumental disaster (by reception), and the dev ended up leaving before the game even went to version 1.0. It's sales were crazy though, so BI got what they wanted
Fuck BI, they also followed the Business model by Bethesda of taking Mod assets, and repackaging them to sell for DLC. absolute scum class developers, but holy fuck do they make some cool games. I mean as niche as Arma is, it's potential is untapped, and you can literally do anything in that game, its sandbox is near limitless.

I mean you just got to learn the art of taking those DLCs for free and inserting them into your base game.

Dota 2 was probably one of those lucky ones that succeed from mod to game and mod dev got credit for it.

I thought that Microsoft buying bethesda would make the company better... sigh, at least the booty gif makes me smile

Windows 10 is like one of the shittiest os ever. On all windows version since forever, the file manager (base of any os) is completely broken, they don't care, they never fix it, apparently they even manage to make it worse in windows 11. If there were real concurrence, those guys wouldn't stay a day more into business.

So i wouldn't count on Microsoft to produce any quality game either.

We were a pretty rich pair of house spouses in that run! :ROFLMAO:

Night Bonki, see you later!

HE'S ALMOST HERE(?)!
THE ONE! THE ONLY! THE LEGENDARY WHYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!
Good to see you! :p
That is a perfect way to explain No Man Sky! :p

You do know, that you can edit you own posts right?
That's me making this post
That's me in the spot-light
Summoning some mods
Trying to summon all 4 of you
And I don't know if you'll come here
Oh no I haven't tagged yet.
I didn't tag enough

I thought that I heard @Guz89 merging
I thought that I saw @Shawnchapp watching
I think I thought I saw @BeowulfKnight and @mime

Summoning is complete!
Look, you know when I cut 'em up into pieces how many holes I'll need.

On second thought.. forget my mathematical skills. One big hole will do, Slummer!

Yeah its quite sad that its still really the only sim style survival game. But without mods, its just barebones, and with mods, its the glitchiest piece of shit ive ever played. Thank fuck for Rust, but Rust is a sweatfest a lot of the time, its hard to have a casual experience.
Dota 2 was probably one of those lucky ones that succeed from mod to game and mod dev got credit for it.

Funnily enough, another one that had massive success, and is still one of the most played games today, is Pubg, which also originated as a Arma 2 mod, then became an arma 3 mod, and then the developer made his own game from it. It was originally called Player Unknowns Battle Royale.

I thought that Microsoft buying bethesda would make the company better... sigh, at least the booty gif makes me smile
I mean you're talking about the same company that creates Forza Motorsport, and Halo, and also produced that horrific piece of shit Halo TV show. I don't know where your hope came from :ROFLMAO:

Very true rust is better, but for me it is only better on a private server with friends. Can not leave a public server before everything i collected gets stolen haha

i thought creamapi and smokeapi were detectable. or is it just people using it wrong and thats why?
Who knows but steam has not done anything to it for the longest time.
That could change but the thing is I only use my dummy accounts for games I use creamapi on.
Accounts with a single game or 2 bought on sale to creamapi.
Still cheaper than the DLC and future DLCs

HAHAHA Fuck!! what was it? like 11 terraflops they advertised??? fucken hell I remember the shambles and bs behind that launch. Everyones googling what a terraflop is as if any type of PC hardware has ever been about terraflops xD

Still... I bought one, only for RDR2 though, cos the bastards wouldn't release on PC at the same time would they?
