yeah but it gets shitty when its 15 plus 15 plus 17 plus 12 plus more and more all the time plus the internet bill too and my cell plan that i gotta change because its old and too expensive

hard to have fun these days without feeling like youre nickel and dimed to death with little fees and sneaky subscriptions for everything

i am old so i remember some from when it was different. maybe some things were better back then

What did you find? where does one stream Star-trek these days?

I use the JustWatch website to find where in the streams the movie or series I want is.
But I'm Brazilian, I pirate it anyway.

It's not so much the amount of services/platforms. In fact, competition and prices are better with more platforms. It's the way they try to get you to subscribe. Much like video game consoles, instead of competing to offer you the widest selection possible for the best price, with a focus on ease of use and quality of life... They instead focus on exclusive content and drive up the price. Netflix was very successful at first because it had a huge catalog and was accessible. Since every network and their mother want their content to be exclusive, streaming turned into cable.
That's why steam is undefeatable too. Their focus is on improving the user experience while using the storefront and having sales all the time. There is actually a fear among some that the moment Gaben dies, the board will fuck up steam with typical corporate bs.

Speaking of piracy....

Are you using torrents as part of your nefarious adventures? Been looking at downloading some different series and that seems to be the way to go, but having trouble getting either "u" or "qbit" to work with the recommended free VPN. Used "u" in the distant past, but now there are two things I no longer do without a digital condom: porn and piracy. I'm also a cheap-ass mofo, so I really don't want to pay for a VPN, but torrent engines seem to have issues with them. I grabbed "hide me" since my normal free VPN doesn't allow p2p, but, even after researching and following every set-up recommendation I could find, I never get them to go past "connecting to peers" or "downloading metadata" (depending on which one I'm using at the time).

If you use torrents, how do you go about it? Raw dog, free VPN or paid VPN? If free, how are you doing the setup to get it to properly work?
