It's okay. Old people can't keep up with new damn-fangled Technology.

I have three, and am wondering about a fourth. I've seen people rotate a monitor 90 degrees, and it seemed like something to try for when I have docs opened. The only thing stopping me is choosing the layout. The other consideration is upgrading my monitors. I don't have 4K monitors, and I'd like them, or maybe curved ones. Too many choices, and too little money.

Only reason I would want a second monitor myself is to have a game map open.

As for devices, all in one devices such as a surface or phones get all I need done.

I could see getting a third but I would have to redo my entire desk setup and I'm too lazy for that. Right now I have no idea what I would do on a 4th screen though.

Honestly until you get up to oil, or trains you don't need to rebuild as long as your factories are running.

The thing that matter most imo is your storage area is well organized

I have went back and rebuilt factories so many times to make more efficient, better layouts, etc. Honestly one of the biggest updates I read about in the 1.0 update is the 90 degree turns making your belts so much better.
Oh yeah, my main hub is still vastly more organized than what I had on my first playthrough in Update 8. I also decided to make a bunch of smaller bases with tractors carrying stuff back to the main base so it's not as crowded, although one of the reorganization things I really want to do put down some dedicated vehicle paths since currently they just kind of drive around the belts and miners.

Happy Friday people -- dragging myself around but will be more myself after a few coffees -- then its back to the daily grind

Mostly, I don't want to do a lot of time moving around between things. When I want to copy one thing into another thing, drag drop. I don't want to have to stop playing BG3 to preview email as it comes in. Stuff like that. I have friends that think it's silly, until they hop on to work on something and then they never want to mess with a single screen again.

makes sense and even i have to admit it sounds convenient but i will avoid a second monitor like the plague in part for i will probably as most be unable to go back to one monitor.

That's the thing. My entire desk is full of monitors, which is great, but I really wan to try a sideways one. I'm thinking a TV on the wall. Right now it's just a "what do you want?" question for myself, and I don't know the answer. Always looking for thoughts from folks that have tried out different setups.

I like dual screen just for this very reason. But I am only at my second monitor during the day, during "Work Hours" when I log off from work, I move down to the lounge. Then my "Second Monitor" is a TV with whatever I'm watching on haha.

I have 3 monitors, which works great because I can have my game or movie on my bigger monitor and then websites, Discord and whatnot on my other monitors.

I used to use an actual TV as my third monitor, but the resolution was some bizarre number like 1300x900 so a lot of games had trouble maximizing on it. I finally replaced it with a 2K monitor of about the same physical size.

Only thing I would suggest is to preplan train depots. Where you plan on placing them. I've found for myself that the tractors sadly aren't reliable enough. I've had the paths break multiple times, or they used to.

As for buildings in the air I always build a support system even if it's not needed to make it more aesthetic

That is kind of a game changer, soo easy to make "good" looking belts now! :p

Recently started getting into the tractors and trucks, made dedicated highways in the blueprint machine! :p
