Yeah i see it now. Now the images auto crop to the fitting resolution in the signatures, this practically should prevent the scroll bar from showing up at all for anyone if i got that right

Every electronic device suffers from degradation, corrosion, oxidation and such, but most are likely to be more than a lifetime for it to happen enough to truly damage it.
It it's stored properly, the only part that could have some issues are the ones outside the shell, which goes to the cartridge slot on the console.
But if it's just these outer pins, even if they stop working, it would probably be an easy fix.

I thought the "disc-rot" article said you had about 10 years- less for double-sided discs...
You used to be able to clean the contacts of NES (and like cartridges) with eraser on a pencil, but I'm sure those eventually will stop working.

THIS might be the nicest thing you've said to me...I mean, it does have to do with my dying and all...

I've known people I've worked with in the past to switch a few letter positions on mechanical keyboards on multiuser terminals. Just for shits and giggles to wind their colleagues up. Especially effective as the terminals were for the completion of electronic copies of the physical work orders and demanding spares and as such none of us were 'no-look' touch typists. Also knew one occasion where the default language was changed.

Two of the best old-school pranks
Ctrl-Print screen someone's desktop. Go into "Paint" and paste the image. Save the image and set it as their wallpaper. Then drag all of their shortcuts to the edge of the screen to hide them. When they go to click on something- nothing works, because it's just a picture of the shortcuts.

The other one was to assign a sound to every key on the keyboard. My buddie's brother used to play OG "Wing Commander" and older Big Mech kinda games that used damn near every key- so he puts on his headphones and about 2 minutes later, he's ready to kill both of us.

I have used a metal polish and dremel at low speed to fix a couple Blu-rays.
But this is the actual read surface having problems.

Mmmmmm, quesadillas are good. I had chicken fajitas tonight for dinner.
I'll have a spicy anus shortly.
I used to make a bunch of chicken breast into little fajita/quesadilla chunks to store in the freezer and add for a quick chicken hit. Easy to add to a quesadilla!

Sometimes I'll cook a package of bacon and have it around for such purposes (throw into a quesadilla, fritata, scrambled eggs, mac-n-cheese, or damn near anything else ). Maybe I'll do something like you did with the chicken, but with pork, next week - al pastore style. Works great on quesadillas, tacos, etc.

You can still clean the cartridges. If they're really bad, clean with electronic cleaners or lightly with alcohol & Q-tip.
A light coating of oil will help prevent oxidation on the metal contacts, as well.
I use 3 in 1 oil. Mineral oil or WD-40 works, too. Lightly use q-tip to coat the metal. No need to bend the prongs.

Retail and burned CDs in a zipper xase, on held 150, one held 25, both had a few CDs that skipped. The CD-R were in a zippered case and some stacked.

MMMM.. I have a 10lb package of pulled pork I might have to try something with.
Pro Tip: If you make the chicken pieces thinner, you can toss them frozen on the cheese with the quesadilla and it won't be all dried out when the cheese is melted.
(Although you;re probably the pro here)

the width doesn't matter the forum will auto size that depending on the user but the height is set to a max of 300 and thats the issue the forum refuses to auto resize image hight... it does the width just fine just not the height
but ya if you make an image at the width of 1500 and someone like me with a smaller rez sees it it going to be crop on the height part
