Not sure I have and specific one in particular. I watch and love a lot of anime of varying genres.

Ive pretty much watched anime all my life.

Do you think that you got interested in this type of content due to anime?
I dont think anime got me interested in adult games/visual novels. I think i just found them on the net one day and it just became a thing.

I don't think I have a main favorite anime, its just more so a list of ones I enjoyed. Like Parasyte, Full Metal Alchemist Brother, Blue Exorcist, Clannad, One Punch, Goblin Slayer
Even then, Im more of a manga/webtoon reader than anything else

My first anime was ranma 1/2, martial arts dude that has a special condition where if he touchs cold water he transforms into a girl.
first manga was hollow fields that was in the comic book aisle of the library where i read the bones comics.

Do you think that you got interested in this type of content due to anime?
Maybe but watching stuff like kissxsis and demon king daimao did not help

Legit answer, I watched Armitage III yesterday. Peak 90s cyberpunk handdraw style and animation.
Highly recommend.
Also it has an actual charismatic lead not like boring dead eyes Kusanagi

I really enjoyed the first series of sword art online, but that fell away season after season imo. Dragonball is always a favourite too and yu-gi-oh hell ill even throw in pokemon for the nostalgia factor too

favorite anime?

I have quite a lot. i don't really rank my favorites, but i do have a list i usually reccomened.

kara no kayoukai, dirty pair, Turn A guindam (even if you're not a mecha fan.) FMAB, xam'd lost memories. ghost hunt

some of the newer ones i considered reccomendation status are dark gathering and Ferien.
i have a lot more manga and LN since as i've gotten older i've had more time to read then sit down and watch things since i can read at my own pace, but anime pacing is predetermined.

When did you start watching anime?

well technically i started back when i was a kid with gibily films and digimon tv series.

however my real intrest with anime when i knew it was anime was about early 2000s where i saw amvs for higurashi and decided to watch it so i got pulled into anime from there.

and no anime didn't pull me into eroge VN's mugen did.

Haven't actually watched any in a few years now. I find new anime is kinda just meh, especially modern shounen. Terrible protagonists.
Favourite anime is Yu Yu Hakusho. Really liked a few more like Clannad, Air, UC Gundam, Fate, NGE.
First anime was Pokemon when I was a little kid. Then Dragonball but I didn't really start watching anime then, just DB, DBZ and DB:GT.
First anime I watched when I actually started watching anime regularly was Naruto. I really was more into manga and LNs though.
Favourite modern anime is probably Gate. Good story, cute cast and fucking great protagonist. Just some degenerate adult dude who wants some time off so he can go to a convention and buy some H doujins and instead he becomes some major diplomat in an isekai world.
