My intro to Anime in the 1990's ... Berserk ..

Such a classic. I love Berserk!

Toonami censored though. I didn't see the uncut Outlaw Star until DVD, or the Tenchi OVA on laserdisc. Its much like my first exposure to Sailor Moon with my sister watching it hacked up by DIC. Where they censored the magical girl transformations and removed the Yuri.

I loved Rosario Vampire, the manga ending was sort of lackluster though. Tv series is one of my all time favorites and of course the best Blu release is insanely expensive even when Funi still existed, now its probably completely unaffordable.

As for Harlock i like the second tv series SSX more than the original.

Some of the Leijiverse can be a mixed bag but i loved most of it. Galaxy Express 999 and Space Battleship Yamato. I honestly wish the first 2d version of Yamato Resurrection had been made. Though its amazing how successful the 2199 reboot and spinoffs ended up being.

And how come no one has mentioned Gunbuster that was freakin amazing, i rented the tape from Blockbuster video.

my favorite anime is my hero acadamia i love the action and motivational monolouges that show always makes me wanna workout. I started watching anime in like 2014 probably but ive been into it and out of it for a while and a steam sale for a vn got me into vn porn. fun questions lol

Sunrise animation is legendary for me because they did Dirty Pair, and later Cowboy Bebop and Outlaw Star.

The defunct Artmic studio that did Gall Force and Bubblegum Crisis is also a favorite of mine. Kenichi Sonoda and Shinji Aramaki started there.

Back when I was a kid we'd have DBZ, One Piece, Naruto, Pokemon, Digimon, Inuyasha, Hamtaro, Bey Blade and some others on TV, I watched them all but had no idea what anime was back then. When I was around 11-16, and already knew what anime was, I watched a few like Elfen Lied, Ikkitousen, DxD and some other shit I can't remember, less than 10. But I started to watch anime for real when I was 17 onwards, at 18-19 I was watching it religiously, but nowadays, many yeras later, I'm barely interested in it anymore.

Few favs would be: Code Geass, Gurren Lagann, Samurai Champloo, Yosuga no Sora and Golden Kamuy

I saw it for the first time in 1991. Now only was it the first anime I ever saw it is still my favorite to this day.

No. VNs and anime were found in different ways. Akira was found at the video store. I stumbled upon itch,io and VNs by shear chance. I was looking for a site for e-books and stumbled on itch,io in I think 2015?

I stopped with the Blu-Ray with Akira, never did buy the 4k, the amount of DNR was not necessary. Hated the redub, its Japanese only for me with subs, or Streamline Dub.
